If Herder is correct about our strength of schedule holding us back from a top 5 seed, and that sounds logical, will next year’s schedule be stronger ?. BC may not be great again, but they are still an ACC team. Of course, we would have to beat them.. Future schedules have been discussed here,(but I cannot find that thread), are other OOC teams for next year known ?

Other than BC, the only other OOC game next year that has been confirmed so far is a game @ Yale.

Depending on how we play and finish, and if Buffalo beats Toledo, we could be as high as a 3 and as low as a 9
One bloody game at a time

Was at Michie Stadium Saturday. 29000 attendance including a few 'gate fans. Terrific day at West Point. Expect we would bring a great crowd

7? I think I he lists good rationales for the Big Sky, but I feel like with all of the games left they will beat each other up and a 2 loss team does not get seeded in front of us.
Blow out Lafayette and remaining competition should help.

Future schedules have been discussed here,(but I cannot find that thread), are other OOC teams for next year known ? Holy Cross has a good chance to go 11-0 with an FBS win (Buffalo) and a ranked win if it beats Fordham. Its overall strength of schedule may prevent HC from getting a Top 5 seed.
This one line here shows how the wins over Harvard and Yale have no meaning to the FCS powers that be.

I remember getting banged around 😂😂😉 In 1970 we did the banging We did our share of banging as well. Beautiful place to play. Grass (putting green) back in the day. Always enjoyed staying at the Bear Mountain Inn on the Friday night before the game.

Our final ranking likely will be based on winning the non-Fordham games, Buffalo vs Toledo, and the outcome of the Fordham game.

Pretty cool if you ask me. Looking forward to making the trip. Hopefully weather would be agreeable. This year we might have beaten both BC and Army. Great out of conference schedule without being too difficult. In other news, Montana's strength of schedule isn't awesome for a Big Sky school. And NDSU almost lost to Indiana State. Don't get me started on Mercer and JSU. I am not sure I think Chattanooga or W&M/Delaware have that much stronger of a schedule.

This one line here shows how the wins over Harvard and Yale have no meaning to the FCS powers that be. Their ranking means exactly the same as anyone else's ranking. If Harvard ends up ranked 20 and Fordham 25 then the Harvard win will be more advantageous for HC than the Fordham win. Ranking is irrelevant to H & Y in the sense it has no bearing on seeding but it's not irrelevant to the committee.

I remember driving down from HC with 3 other guys and when we got to the stadium, one of them had left his tickets back at the college (in the old days when tickets were actual tickets!). The young man at the gate heard our sob story...then he let us in. He did add that if someone came for the seat occupied by my classmate, he would have to move (note "move" not leave). That kindness has always stuck with me! My thanks to him and to West Point. [Of course, I do hope HC blows them away!]

[Of course, I do hope HC blows them away!] On a beautiful October day in 1977, I decided to wear a "Holy Cross Staff" polo shirt to the game. While I had a ticket, I decided to try to get on the sideline, and, pointing to my shirt, was able to do that without issue. At some point, while standing right on the sideline, a VERY large Army running-back broke into the clear, and was heading right in my direction. For a fleeting moment, I thought, "I could throw myself in front of this guy, and be famous!" Quickly, however, I realized, "or I could be dead." Needless to say, he scored the touchdown. (And my recollection is that we lost the game - badly.)

Army let them in.

Forgot the Army/Navy game was at Gillette!
And Air Force is at Mile High, not Colorado Springs.
No FCS games scheduled at this point, which is encouraging for the chances the rumor is true.
