Thanks. I hope his coaching has improved more than his communication skills.
He did work the room for a decent amount of time after the event. I didn't have an issue with the way he communicated. We jest about coach speak for a reason. Most coaches do it. Part of the game is being positive, He's trying to drum up support and have people in the seats. You don't get that by saying we're picked #9, but really think we can make the middle of the pack this season
-BN indicated this is the first time he has been able to speak in the community because of COVID
That's strange. HC rules?
I know members of the football coaching staff have mingled with alums / fans plenty.
In October 2020, there was no coaches night because basketball started in January 2021 with the League schedule, and cutouts of fans and supporters in the stands.
In October 2021, there was no coaches night because of ongoing restrictions regarding attendance at large indoor gatherings. See: goholycross.com/sports/2021/9/27/fall-2021-fan-and-visitor-policies.aspx ---------------------------------------------------- In August 2022, Holy Cross hastily re-convened the Community Alliance. The Alliance had not met over two years, and when Holy Cross appeared before the Planning Board seeking approval of the new residence halls, residents of College Hill let fly with complaints, accusations, conspiracy theories. This resulted in the Board deferring action on HC's sought-for approval, and Holy Cross apologizing with mea culpas and convening local meetings with elected officials and neighbors to calm the roiling waters.
