Saturday was a Quadfecta…. Men’s Hockey also won at Air Force. Great and successful day to root for the Purple. It was Purple People Eater day, for those over 60, you may remember the song. You're absolutely right, totally overlooked this win. Congrats to men's pucks as well. Never easy winning at AFA.

Is it possible that he drowned in the reported huge bodies of water on the Freshmen Field parking lot?

Please stop, my friend. If we ever actually get a mascot back, if it is not the beloved Crusader (we can dispense with the odious name "Iggy"), it should be a " Purple Knight" though that would be watering down the honorific given to the 50+ year grads but at least we could literally bring back the old logos and, yes, the foam warrior that looks like he's from Mars. And the non-Christian/atheist/agnostic faculty who helped kill our Crusader would have to think up some other reason for why they are offended. [Bet you're happy you brought up the subject again, Crucis. No, I'm never getting over it].

I can't vote. I've been banned by Twitter. Or I have never and continue to refuse to sign up. It was one of those.
Someone vote twice. Once for yourself and once for me. Or, is that illegal?

Is there a shot of the home crowd behind the HC bench anywhere? Curious how crowded it looked. I was just worried about the game and staying as dry as I could do I didn’t really look behind me much.

Was packed between the 30s. I stood the whole game at the very top of the home side on the 10 yard line, baseball field side. I had a great vantage point to watch Ng's first FG attempt hit a brick wall of wind and literally stop in midair. And pictures ^^ speak 1,000 words. To UNH fans' credit, didn't look like even one of their supporters left even a minute early. They stuck it out. I was very fortunate my wife reminded me to bring a change of clothes, socks and shoes for the ride home in the car.

Thanks, cmo! Really impressive showing from the purple fans. There’s no way that 6000 number is correct but seems to be the pattern in the FCS playoffs.

Stadium completely full between thr 10yd lines on both sides. And they announced 6 or 7k. Was more like 11. HC-UNH crowd probably around 8K if I were to guess. And you and I weren't counted at very least bc they couldn't get scanner to work in rain.

Wiki says the attendance at the very wet HC Dartmouth game in 1966 was 12,000(every game was rounded off to the thousand(s). I was there, but just as 92 took no notice last Saturday, I was so wet I did not see, or care, how many, if any, others were there. But I doubt there were 12,000.

hoops, my memory was there probably was 12,000 at Dartmouth game . . . . . when it started. Like many others, I went back to my room at halftime to change and went back for the 2nd half. Others went back to their rooms and never came back.
That said, everyone who was there will claim to have stuck it out to the end including some who never went in the first place.

I remember the crowd chiefly because I worked as an usher at that game. (Amazing what $2 would buy back then.) At first we tried to wipe off the water from seats. That stoped because we had nothing left that was dry. Best we could do was to push the deeper pools of water off the benches. I believe there were about 12,000 fans...and I was one who stayed to the last play.
