Massey has Lafayette favored by 7 (71-64) and gives them a 71% chance for the win.

I mentioned this on another thread discussing guys who came close to 1000, but I think Gates has 987 points for the Crusaders. Good chance he goes over the 1000 mark this Saturday at Lafayette.

Lafayette trivia -
What Crossports poster was heard to yell at an HC-Lafayette basketball game " I've never seen a leopard with stripes before" ?

Feel like 92 would say something like that.

While it's possible that 92 has used it (maybe even probable) the phrase was coined by Non Alum Dave
Thinking of former posters. . . while HC70 was quite the road warrior and went to many sporting events, I don't know that Sarasota ever left the sunshine to see a sporting event. In all fairness, if he did show up at Hart, I probably wouldn't recognize him

He'd be the one wearing a cassock, having gone to a seminary. (Newer Crossporters won't "get" this comment).

Ok, I do forget specifics, but he made some non flattering post here about the Leopards; when we were entering the lobby to the gym printouts of the post were being distributed to fans as they entered. Course we know the outcome of the game.

And just so you all know that past ADs have read Crossports, one day I'm in my seats at the Hart Center prior to a basketball game and Dick Regan comes up to me with a rather perturbed look on his face and sternly says, " are you HC70?!" I respond, "No, Dick, I'm sader1970." He kind of harumphs and says "I didn't think so. Do you know who he is?" I said "yep, but I'm not going to tell you who he is." While I don't recall what he had specifically posted, I knew why Dick was asking because it was something less than flattering. I have a nice picture somewhere of HC70 at a playoff game in Ohio leading the Crusader fans in the stands. Whatever his infraction was, maybe the Dean could give him a presidential pardon?

In all fairness, if he did show up at Hart, I probably wouldn't recognize him First met Sarasota at the tip off tournament at Old Dominion in Norfolk. He was banned from Crossports thereafter; then I saw him at the tourney at Florida Atlantic (where we witnessed BN’s only non conference win against Mercer.) He was then allowed back on this forum for a while, but haven’t seen his posts in a few years. I’ve met both Sarasota and HC70 - they are good guys and big HC fanatics. While some may not have agreed with them, they bleed purple. Someday people smarter than me with figure out this internet censorship and bring it to an end.

Sarasota was a semi-regular attendee when he lived/worked in the Boston area.

Maybe we will see some better in-game substitutions today. We’re operating with mostly a six man rotation. Plus who knows how much Octave will be able to go today.
