Kelsey has a chance to take UMass way up the food chain in the state right now with BC in the dumps. Wish UMass would play a game or two in Worcester and Boston like Calipari did back in the day. His greater challenge will be VCU, Dayton, Richmond, Davidson, etc.

Hard to imagine UMass ever being that relevant again. They caught lightning in a bottle, and oh yeah had to cheat to do it.

Hard to imagine UMass ever being that relevant again. They caught lightning in a bottle, and oh yeah had to cheat to do it. Once you said Callipari, saying they had to cheat becomes a bit repetitive. There seem to be some coaches who have been caught cheating several times and it seems to have no effect - they simply move on to a better position that pays more money and leave their former school to try to pick up the pieces. Each time they get caught (again) their school seems to act like they are shocked that this Tiger has not changed his stripes. Do you think anyone could be that dumb? Or, is it the fans who are dumb for putting up with it?

I'll suggest that for most schools, most fans are delighted to have any coach who will post strong W-L records, win conference championships, and bring post season glory regardless of that coach's moral, ethical, or legal shortcomings. The fans not only "put up with it", they welcome it if it gets the job done on the playing field....

Hard to imagine UMass ever being that relevant again. They caught lightning in a bottle, and oh yeah had to cheat to do it. It was certainly a great run for UMass basketball under Calipari in the 90's. The program however never came near that level of success before that era or since. Calipari is the only UMass coach to have ever won an NCAA Tournament game and the 90's is the only decade that UMass ever won NCAA games.

Until he gets caught, vacates the Final four and gets the school put on probation, then hitails it out of town to the next big paying, unethical school the enablers here are the presidents and BOTs

Hard to imagine UMass ever being that relevant again. They caught lightning in a bottle, and oh yeah had to cheat to do it. Hadn't cheated yet at that point. Well coached overachievers (Lou Roe, etc.) It was getting Camby to get them to the next level that produced the cheating.

"Elsewhere, Moore’s three assistants, Sean Doherty, Eric Eaton and Tony Newsom, are also looking for work. Doherty and Newsom are looking at the Western Connecticut State job, while Eaton will likely look for a Division 1 assistant coaching job."
All three were at HC, correct?
