Simple answer, yes. Full scholarship funding is a luxury not a necessity. A few more are needed but not 12.5. i leave that exact # to better minds. Recall in 2015, the team was ranked in the top20 after beating 2 top 20 teams (Army and Loyola). True…but we finished 6-7 (3-5 PL) and well outside the top 20 in 2015. There is no doubt the team has pulled an upset or two now and again throughout its 30 years of Patriot League play. This was one of our better years. But you make a good point that even adding a few more scholarship equivalents (not necessarily the full number permitted) would be an improvement.

Also, an upgrade to Smith Stadium, seating 3,000 with the Lax teams moving to an improved facility with the latest version of field turf, will help recruiting.

I agree they are running short handed to some other schools. But I honestly have no clue how many scholarships HC funds versus the other programs in the league. Either way you have to win more than 2 games over 2 years. 1-13 and 1-13 don't cut it. If you are going to fund more for the program then give the guy another year or two on even playing field. Otherwise move on to a guy who can find recruiting gems better than this current coach because he's not. I looked at the scoring. I think 3 of the top 4 are Seniors. Not even his guys. Heck if I'm going to lose I'd rather just lose young. This isn't working.

That's quite the disparity. With that said - the school has to make a decision on where they want the program to go. Sitting in this league utilizing 2 schollies and going 1-13 makes zero sense. I'd rather just dismantle the program.

That’s the point I made earlier in this discussion - Lax is a visible spring sport to h s players and coaches - it’s not a good look and makes one conclude the school is indifferent toward the program

Boston U. 12.6 scholarships Bucknell 2 scholarships (going to 8 over the next 3+ years) Colgate about 9 scholarships Lafayette about 6 scholarships but may go higher Lehigh close to 12.6 scholarships Loyola 12.6 scholarships

HC should be comparable with the bottom 3 of that group; the facility is going to be top level for sure.

Todays game at Lafayette is a possible W as the leopards are 1-4 in the league - we’re underdogs for sure but maybe we get good goaltending to keep the score low

This is very disappointing. Kit knows and cherishes this sport. I’m sure it’s very hard for him to accept this, which is why I’m hopeful things will change to support the coach and program.

April 18 we play winless UMass Lowell and have a good chance for a win.

Trailing 8-4 at the half to a so-so Bucknell team. Whether we win or lose isn’t in question, but whether we get doubled up again is.

Had a good 3rd qtr and trailed by only one going into the 4th - but like last week vs Laf, we can’t play a complete 2nd half - now trail 17-12 with 3 mins left

18-12 loss.
Need to beat Lowell on Tuesday to, in all likelihood, avoid a winless season.
We are likely looking at either 1-26 or 2-25 over the 2022 and 2023 seasons with the only win(s) against Lowell.
Big yikes.

If they win Tuesday, they will tie Lowell for the least amount of wins for New England schools in the last two seasons as Lowell won twice last year. The River Hawks haven't won a game yet this season

I honestly don’t think it’s coaching in either men’s lax or men’s baseball. In fact, if we switched the head coaches I’m not sure it would make much difference .

Battle of the Titans tonight at Fr. K field - 0-10 UML vs. 0-12 HC Last year we squeaked out a 15-14 win for our only one of the season - Please, let's not have a winless season (with only one game left vs. Colgate a likely L)

Getting doubled up at home at the half to winless Lowell. Embarrassment.
