Anyway you look at it, another dreadful 20 plus loss season. Hard to believe that with the solid commitment to a great coach in Football doesn’t spill over in BB. I think Kit has a plan.

Sounds like he is in foul trouble. Whose sounds ? He had 0 fouls for the game. Ridiculous that he was not in until it was decided. Same with Batch. Dorsey continues to struggle (due to injuries?) , e.g. 5-28 on threes since the American game

Not winning when Bo, Dorsey, and Batch combine for only 12 points.

Not winning when Bo, Dorsey, and Batch combine for only 12 points. Dorsey has not been a scorer. Bo and Batch were not shooting well, but need more than 21 and 26 minutes, especially when those taking their places have not been scorers all season.

I can't wait to watch the replay of this endless loop later tonight. They didn't start the broadcast until it was 26-41. On the replay! What the hell happened to the beginning of the game?

Saw Bo on the bench, seemed to have his left arm wrapped. Something happen to him? Didn't see him play a minute.

Totally missed the game having been at the women's 5 retirement numbers event and game. If you have not seen it, it was very well done and held in the Blaney Gym. Their numbers were not hoisted to the rafters and assumed that will be done when no one is in the gym. Especially touching was Sherry Levin's discussing Togo - her coach, mentor and friend. If you have a dry eye after watching, you don't have a soul. Here's a link, though I have my own photos and videos, not as good as the professionals: goholycross.com/index.aspxSo, it sounds like I picked the right day not to "watch" the men's game. Sadly, however, the women also lost to Army.

We had the wrong people in the game when we still had a chance to win.

See nothing wrong w/Gates' line except for 5 turnovers. Even was perfect from the line today.
Bo....no points, 3 rebounds. Other than for replacing a fatigued teammate, see nothing wrong w/him nailed to the bench down the stretch.
Take away GG and CK and the rest of the team went 11-36 from the field.

Random stat . . . Caleb Kenney - 5/5 FG, 1/4 FT. For the season, shooting 55% from the floor, 44% from the line. Those are Jon Lester level yips. Basketball players are given access to coaches, trainers, strength and conditioning, etc. I've never heard of colleges providing access to sports psychologists for players to try to maximize performance.

Save the shrink work for Gates...Kenney's form is horrible, has nothing to do with his head IMHO.

And right after we thought there was a spark of life to the program. The more aggressive defense likely caught teams by surprise just as it did for the posters on this board . A few games of film and the other teams made adjustments. When that happened it exposed all the warts on the roster- no pure point guard, no available size, mismatches inside, a short bench, and poor foul shooting, to list a few areas of weakness. The short bench, injuries, and substitution patterns has created a roster that continues to play hard, but it appears as if they run out of gas- and we haven't started February yet. A couple games where we make foul shots and the conference record might look a bit different. it is a roster (if all stay put) and the right additions are made won't be horrible, but the quality players we need are probably off the board. And of course without Gates, 😱😱🤯🤯🤯 it needs quite a bit of work before the fall if we are going to be competitive.

Very frustrating to see the deficiencies in skills that should have been corrected in high school or prep school.
By the time they get to college, particularly at a D1 program, it should not be an issue regarding on the court performance that we have seen over the last 6 years.

In CK's defense, didn't he start playing hoops rather late?
He seems to becoming rather efficient close to the basket with his little scoops and hooks. He really struggles with facing the basket and shooting. If he could make some small strides there before next season he could take a nice step up as a player.

I would like to see Kirkwood get 15 plus min/game for the next five or more games and told to take shots, attack the rim, and rebound. Let's see what he can do offensively and how he defends in the paint. While he is not necessarily an inside player, perhaps his body could take some of the inside pressure off of Gates

So, get off both of your lawns?😅 With four coaches for 12 players for four years per player, there is time available to teach/correct fundamentals. I imagine teaching fundamentals is woven into all HC FB practices. Fundamentals problems are solved or unfortunately created with recruiting. Let's see how a consistent, year after year winning coach addresses the fundamentals issue: "I look for players with high basketball IQ." -Andy Sachs

Actually, these days I enjoy sitting on the lawn to keep the miscreants away. 🙄😆
Hard to enjoy watching the endless mistakes and miscues of the current corp of players across collegiate basketball. 😤 Especially those that feel entitled that they should play without putting in the effort to improve. If they value playing time during a game higher than an education….good riddance. Prove yourself at the next stop.
Now I feel better. 😁
