Could be walk on full tuition at JMU is the same as 50% schollie at HC?
They shouldn't have allowed the kid to break his commitment.

Jake Hohenshelt off to JMU Does anyone else get a bad feeling about this commit ? It is one thing to take HC grads without eligibility at HC. It is another to take a player you recruited for HC and convince him otherwise to follow you. yes, it does me. But you're stuck if it happens. You can't look good if you're hc.

Not the only player HC/JMU continued to recruit once the former staff moved on--
This is a reminder that while this is a sport, it is a business for those employed to deliver results and play. I look at it this way- we were either involved with FBS talent, or JMU is filling a roster with players not quite ready for the FBS. I believe we might have flipped one or two players as well when the new coaches came on board.
Ultimately, the players and families decide what is best for their son or daughter, and we move forward.

HC didn't have to let Hohenshelt out of the NLI. There is more to this story than on the surface as you can imagine. Best of luck to the kid and his family. I'm good moving on from it. If he doesn't want to be here, that says enough to me. That said - after the decommit he had offers to Bucknell and Lehigh. But he signs at JMU? If JMU wants him - best of luck.

I’m on record this is the latter with JMU and Hohensheldt. The prior staff recruited a lot of FBS level talent at OT early this cycle. Like 10-12 kids that were reaches. This kid was NOT in that camp. This is a reach and a 5 year project by DiMikes and Zar. Again, way more to this story (Curran and Denecke obviously had agency here) but on the surface I’m just fine with swapping Hohenshedt with Ashton Booker. Go watch both side by side.

Definitely wasn't, just caught that one myself.
I believe that makes it 2, maybe 3 QBs, we've had up over the last two weekends.
Does anyone know if the plan is to bring in 1 or 2? QB room feels light at just 3 so it'd make some sense to me to bring in one potential starter and one potential depth guy to help fill out the room.
Also I'm really curious to see what HCDCs ideal QB will be

It seems like they are going to try to take 2 this class. I would have said 1 about 3 weeks ago, but now it's clear, it appears to be 2.

Robinson offers to URI, UT Martin and Towson. I am Shocked no one has landed this kid. Definitely under recruited given his talent . Strong, fast, live arm, great measurables. There has to be a story here.

My guess is they were likely PWO offers or weren't committable for one reason or another.
That shouldn't take anything away from us landing him as a commit though. Still a big time get for us.

He had some committable FBS, but not Ole Miss. Also had a few top tier FCS, but ultimately came down to fit with the campus, coaches, etc. He can sling it.

I like that the recruiting sites suggested anywhere from 20-35% likelihoods (each) that he would commit to Louisville, Old Miss, or Kentucky. His comment below shows real maturity for an eighteen year-old. "I found the spot for me. I challenge recruits to search for a school that really fits them, not just a logo or popularity. I'm thankful for the other schools that recruited me. There are just certain things that Holy Cross did better. I feel great about it."
