7 from Maryland which was coach Curran’s favorite hunting grounds while at Merrimack I count 8 from MD (unless you are counting Booker as DC but didn't look like Breezy had that) 3 from prior staff - Gardner, Newsome, Newton 5 from current staff - Booker, Erhuanga, Simmons, Rood, Lynch Needless to say, DMV (V just for northern VA) will be fertile recruiting ground for years to come with Robbat and Curran.

On my list, I have Erhuanga as being from Pennsylvania. Apparently an error. Cannot recall how or why I thought he was from Pennsylvania. I'll correct my list.

I'm trying to finalize my list for the 2024 recruiting year. I have 10 recruits still without a commitment. They are: 003 Trace Scott (FL) -- initially committed to Air Force but then decommitted. 030 Tyler Cross (FL) -- no known commitment 035 Noah Daniels (FL) -- initially committed to Army but then decommitted 075 Tim Burroughs-Love (FL) -- I see from post above that he has been forced to quit football due to health reasons 080 Jake Furtney (IL) -- initially committed to Army but then decommitted 084 Justin Wilson (GA) -- no known commitment 105 Xavier Bowman (MI) -- no known commitment 108 Luke Lengel (MA) -- no known commitment 117 Brandon Hutchinson (CT) -- no known commitment 126 Ben Wheeler (KS) -- no known commitment Also, I am curious as to the status of Jacob Benjamin. Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks. I don't think there ever was a '24 public offer to Benjamin once he committed to WP and MAPS. Still there I believe. Rauner I think is very different. He still shows his HC commitment post reclass. Only time will tell on his recovery and future. I hope it's a full recovery and we see him eventually at HC. Strong arm and excellent runner.

Rauner’s plan (as long as he makes a full recovery) is to be at Holy Cross in 2025.

The QB battle in '25 sounds like it could be a fun competition to follow

The QB battle in '25 sounds like it could be a fun competition to follow Anyone have point of view on how these QBs rank against one another? I'd imagine Graham is the favorite to be the starter as a Sophomore as Pesansky's replacement. Really looking forward to how Curran develops these guys as the primary playcaller.

I would guess it's Frattura vs Graham for the starting spot in 2025, but no idea how the team/staff views them.
I would guess Frattura is QB 2 this year? He seemed to be with Joe P a lot on the sidelines this year when Matt was injured, helping Joe warm up, etc.

It’s way too premature but the wildcard here is Joey P’s eligibility. He technically has 2 seasons left. Depending upon what the PL decides with its non-medical RS policy post Covid, does Joe have the option and decide to play for HC in ‘25 or go the grad transfer route somewhere else?
Likely also depends on his performance in 2024 but bears watching and considering.

As things currently stand, this has to be option A assuming we have approval & Joe would like to maximize his time at HC.

/\ /\ I’m still a bit surprised no reporter has asked our new coach for his opinion regarding 5th years — considering they were crucial elements of our highly ranked/championship teams. Is it possible folks are unaware of all our all-Patriot 5th years over the last three years?

These are all pretty serious QBs competing. There's no one in the group that's there to be just the play waggler. Frattura was a very strong recruit and if you watch Jenkins in HS he threw the ball down the field, he wasn't a dart and depart QB. Robinson was tremendously productive and a monster physically. Someone may eventually play another position but way too early to go there.

I think if you look just at each QBs skillset, who compares best to Joe?? None of the other QBs have an advantage due to new coaching staff and playbook. I think if Graham comes in ready top compete, he is the closest play style wise to Joe. This leads me to believe Graham will be #2 this year. Not only because of the similarities in playing style, but the O Line on paper doesn't seem to be as strong as last year. Without the O Line of the last few years Sluka would never had been able to do what he did running the ball. Just my 2cents, but I don't think this is the only position worth watching, the Dline will be one hell of a battle to see who comes out on top.

I wouldn't suggest anybody is number two on the board. We have five QBs in the room, and they have two things in common- they wear purple, and these young men are incredibly competitive.
Agree about the DL, but to be honest I think almost every group will experience significant competiton this year. New coaches and new system tells me to look for players to create opportunities and result in a few surprises- the offseason and spring practice will start that process.
