Interesting to listen today. My first pickup was that DP wanted to share the OOC schedule, even though we have verbal commitments but not all contracts are signed. He askedKH but was told "no names." However, he did share that he believes our games against other Jesuit institutions in urban centers will please fans and players. And he added "if we find ourselves in the Capitol I am sure we can arange activities for the team." That sounds like Georgetown to me. The baseball field parking was presented with positive spin as a fund raiser and a way to get premier parking for some of our biggest supporters. I know they can use the funds, but it also means some of thise who are long time fans and parked there may not get a spot unless they can come up with at least a $2500 gift to get on the President's Council.

Re; the OOC schedule.
As RGS mentioned, 'other Jesuit institutions' was voiced in the plural, and paired with spending an additional day giving the team an educational experience.
Georgetown is one of the Jesuit institutions. Candidates for the others might be St. Joe's, Fordham, Santa Clara, University of San Francisco, Seattle, Loyola Marymount?
There are verbal commitments, but no signed contracts.

Uh, Rob, $1,500 for Purple Knights, not the full $2,500 . . . . . courtesy of me asking them months ago on behalf of my Classmates (and yours). You did notice him mention Purple Knights specifically but he didn't seem to want to actually say out loud $1,500 but I've got it in writing. That's why they "love" me up there! Another factoid, Kit said there are only 180 baseball field spots. And yes, DP tried to get around Kit's brakes on the schedule by dropping GU hints. If he didn't wink, DP had a noticeable twinkle in his eye when he said that.

I wondered about that, but Kit did mention Purple Knights and then again said $2500. I don't recall $1500 gifts from Purple Knights to become a PC member being mentioned.

I mentioned Georgetown because I am not sure of any other Jesuit institutions in the Capitol. I "assume" he was referring to Washington, DC. I would certainly like to see more Jesuit rivalries rekindled...and maintained.

In one, maybe two , of those years, they did a West Coast road trip, e.g., Santa Clara and University of San Francisco over a long weekend

West coast trip: Gonzaga(Jesuit), Loyola(Jesuit) & St. Mary's of Moraga, not Jesuit but a kick ass b-ball team. Great for recruiting.

Another criterion that I didn't mention was connecting to the alumni base. Don't have many alums in eastern Washington / Idaho. If St. John's wasn't on the supposed OOC schedule, I would put Fordham at the top of the list.

Ahh, to have the phonetic transcript (excuse the obvious phonetic errors), Kit said: "You know, we changed our premier loss parking for football games at fit and field [ ], and particularly the parking on the baseball field, and so you know, the eligibility for that premier lot really begins with you know, the presence Council patron level which as people on this call knows is $2,500 or more. Obviously that includes people who are purple mics. [ ] And so graduates of, you know, a little bit more than you know, 50 years or more, and they're eligibility for the patience level, you know. They qualify they qualify at that level and you know the combination of presence, counsel, and season ticket purchase. You know we'll get you at. You will provide access for people to our our highest, our Premier, a lot which is in incredible experience." Apologies to Kit as I've seen written transcripts by professional legal stenographers of my depositions. Credit to Kit as I'd have a lot more "you knows" and "ahhs" and the like. And I was testifying as an expert witness on those.

That will be interesting. Some new revenue because they've doubled the price of parking on the baseball field in addition to the required donation. My prediction is that I will be able to count on one hand the number of people that join the President's Council to get on the baseball field. I won't be shocked if the number is zero. Some long time fans will give up their tickets in rebellion. Distinct possibility this will be negative for revenue Are there a lot of President's Council members who want to be on the baseball field but couldn't get on under the old policy?

I have been told several times that PC for Purple Knights now begins at $1500 for membership. Recently as 5 days ago from a very reliable source.

I don’t think the AD’s/Coaches/schedule makers at these schools care at all about any Jesuit connection.

It is possible that $1500 gets a Purple Knight on the President's Council but not on the baseball field. Not sure if our friend from the class of 70's written response referred to $1500 being for President's Council or eligibility for the baseball field

Think bigger- start with buy games mentality The world has changed All on this board should consider a 25k-50k-75k- 100k -250k group HC life insurance policy- pick the sport(s) you want to support Cheap given it is a group policy and costs nothing today more than a small premium. The group policy keeps the cost down- we basically have a chance to create an athletic endowment and borrow against it My former boss Mike Milken said never spend your own money if you can help it😇

Yes, this 70's friend has it in writing from the Senior Associate Athletic Director that the $1,500 PC membership level gets you a baseball parking pass IF you buy a reserved season ticket (cushion or non-cushion) but season general admission ticket, nope. And, of course, pay the parking fee. This 70's guy parks in the garage, so that's one extra available space.

All are talking-east, midwest, and west coast Where there is an alumni base, good recruiting area. Extending the 'brand' geographically. DP is currently enroute to this AAU tournament in Phoenix. Check out the teams in the Super showcase. basketball.exposureevents.com/197341/wce-cactus-classic/teams(Team Curry is out of Charlotte)

My point was we are trying to build and engage all Jesuit institutions in terms of scheduling our future OOC games. They are also looking at schools many on this board have mentioned during the insanity of the last six to ten years
Output from Phoenix might offer a result or not, but it offers Dave visibility as a HC representing HC
