Love this kid. Shorter redux coming in ‘24. Great way to kick off this class! Slot receiver, lightening quick with great hands and route running ability.

And I would argue quicker/twitchier than fast! What it takes to get open these days. Straight away speed important but table stakes.

And I would argue quicker/twitchier than fast! What it takes to get open these days. Straight away speed important but table stakes. Please explain “table stakes” In the investing/startup or sports world…“the minimum requirements your product or service needs to meet to be considered a competitive player in the market.” I was just pointing out that today all these kids have straight away speed regardless of size. D1 recruits are all running in the 4.5s or below 40 yard times. “Twitch” however is much more valued by coaches in this era of spread formations and the ability to play in space (both on O and D). It’s one reason why equipment/pads have continued to get lighter and more flexible vs the bulkier stuff we wore. At WR especially, twitch refers to a players ability to change directions quickly and their initial 5-10 yard burst. This is what it takes to get open especially vs DB press coverage which is played often today. Check out that footage of Alijah at his summer camps and you can see what I mean.

His junior season highlight reel on Hudl is quite something. He catches passes surrounded by 4 defenders and eludes them all and runs for a TD… 51 catches for 1050 yards and 18 TD’s. I don’t know if that includes the kick return touchdowns.

Football coaches use 40 times for a reason. Maybe they should time guys on their ability to run 15 yards and cut around a cone for 15 more. FWIW, this kid's 100 meter time is almost identical to Sam Slade's junior year time.

More importantly, for me anyway, is his hands and ability to catch the ball when he isn't wide open - and, of course, when he is. There were a number of catches with a defender covering him pretty closely even with his speed, twitch, etc. Gotta get them in traffic because no one gets wide open all the time.

Check out this clip. The 4 WRs at Dallas First Baptist. 4 different years. Alijah in is the red shorts and the only Senior. The 6’5 WR in the red shorts (Mitchell) is a Junior. The other shorter receiver in the blue/gray is a soph (getting P5 looks) and the one Clip of the tall kid in blue shorts is a Freshman!! How would you like that HS receiving core this season as a QB?! And bow about Cason’s 1 handed catch at the end in mid air?!

Love when we get recruits who also have FBS offers....I know it can be a crapshoot but as they say 'in many ways, you are the company that you keep."

The staff is looking for talent to “beat” SDS, NDS and MS. No disrespect to the Patriot League but the coaches know what talent they need after playing SDS twice. National Championship is the goal.

Commit #3 is Jordan Pritchard-Sewell 6’1 280 DT from OH. 14 total offers including FBS UAB, Temple, Akron, Kent State, Army, Navy and Air Force. Best FCS Yale and Fordham. Go watch this kid’s film. A disruptive playmaker up and down the D-line. Put on 30 lbs since last season too.

How about some hoops when playoffs end ? Maybe some track, too. 14.97 in the hurdles. That would have been good for 4th in the Mass Meet of Champions. We are recruiting kids who are already well conditioned and coordinated athletes.

This guy's stats are stacked.
