The game last year was fairly even; I wouldn't expect a blowout, although I think HC should win. Nine point win last year on the road... HC is better this year... HC gets fired up and plays really, really well at Polar Park... We'll get to see if the Harvard folks like the pizza better at Polar!

But watching some of the Harvard-Brown game, Harvard's upcoming tilt against #6 Holy Cross was referenced two or three times and each time the setting at Polar Park was emphasized almost as if it was Fenway Park or Yankee Stadium. So the annual EBW Classic has become an event and it's been a win/win for HC and the city so far.

I'll be happy with a 21 point win and lots of clean uniforms in the 4th Q.

The sports cartoons are fabulous- what a loss that we don’t regularly see them these days.

The sports cartoons are fabulous- what a loss that we don’t regularly see them these days. Dad, '42 was a sports cartoonist for " The Tomahawk."* I found 3 in the HC archives that I copied and have hanging in my home office. For years there was a pen & ink drawing he made of the "new" Wheeler dorm. Mom chucked it out with a lot of his drawings as well as Mickey Mantle, Willie Mays and other baseball cards my brother and I had. You know, just junk! * for the young here, The Tomahawk was the predecessor of The Crusader which was the predecessor of The Spire.

I have a few framed programs hanging in my rec room, which feature some great artwork. I have games vs. Harvard, Yale, two BC programs, LSU, and the Orange Bowl. Still looking for an HC-Georgia one. It is a shame with the advent of digital programs that art may be lost forever. Should have gone back to The Tomahawk when they gave up the name The Crusader. In other news, I completely forgot about the Harvard Pizzagate. I do hope we upgrade for some catering when ESPN comes for the playoffs. Harvard can get cold pizza from Crossroads (which when I was a student was above average).

The pizza made in the old bowling alley (😂) is now the “1843 Grille” and is outstanding. Just be sure to have a GrubHub app to pay for it.

Don't know if they go out after dark. They’re both busy on Saturday. Trip is taking Muffin to the Wrentham Outlets for early Christmas shopping, and Jock promised Winky that they’d finally sort through their collection of slides from the 60s. (Who else remembers slides?)

I have boxes on boxes - including the complete set of Civil War photos by Matthew Brady and his assistants (from the library of congress). Those are free to any person or group who can make use of them.

Google Earth got the timing right for the Polar Park picture, coincidence or not?

Hero sports once again reported the highest PFF positional grades from week 4. Sluka ranked no. 1 in the FCS and no. 3 overall behind the QB's for Miami and Washington. Coker comes in at no. 2. Dobbs no. 3. The only Harvard player in the top 5 positionally was a safety. herosports.com/fcs-2023-pff-highest-graded-players-4-bzbz/

(You overlooked the second-rated Harvard TE.)

(You overlooked the second-rated Harvard TE.) don't know how I overlooked him! Have to watch out foe him Saturday as well as the legs for the Harvard QB. With 200+ yards in the air, 3 TDs, and 90 on the ground I am surprised we didn't see him listed. And yes, I am laughing at the Bucknell backer listed ahead of Jake. Hopefully he packs a lunch for his game vs us next month.

Hopefully he packs a lunch for his game vs us next month. It's based purely on how they graded out on each play in last week's games. It doesn't mean the Bucknell LB is better than Dobbs. It means the Bucknell LB made mistakes on a slightly smaller proportion of his plays than Dobbs did. I doubt the Harvard TE is the second best TE in the country either

Weather looks 71 and sunny. So hopefully won't be a factor. Too bad the game is not at Fitton May have drawn 15-20,000

If we can't get 9000 to fill Polar for an end Sep game vs. an attractive opponent something is wrong with the whole concept of games at this place.

i am not sure we need more Polar games, but create incentives to get Worcester to Fitton
we are giving them a tremendous product on the field
now we need to upgrade all of the other pieces fans want to make it a complete entertainment package
yes good Father we are fighting for their emotional support and an INVESTMENT of their entertainment dollars
bring Polar back to Fitton
