Princeton beat Harvard. Right now we have no quality wins. Essentially need the autobid. And Princeton tarnishes one of our quality losses. Exactly.

I think 8-3 gets us in.....particularly with a PotY candidate in Sluka.....7-4 and no auto bid probably no shot

8-3 could get us in. 7-4 in the CAA or Valley/Sky might get us in. If we run table rest of way, I think we'll make the playoffs. Of course the giant elephant in the room is Army.

Lafayette still has to play a seemingly improved and different Colgate team, Fordham, and Lehigh where you throw the records out the window, I’m told.
They could trip up. Who knows.
This defense will not be slowing down Army’s running attack. I don’t care who their quarterback is. Let’s not kid ourselves here.
7-4 is likely what we are looking at, which is obviously disappointing. 6-5 is also possible. Why should we think we’ll waltz into the Bronx and beat Fordham?
But, maybe this team was just never good as advertised. We brought a lot of the “sexy” position / skilled players back, but losing some really key guys on defense that probably didn’t get enough credit made our defense a bad unit. No need to sugarcoat. It’s just a bad unit right now.

At least we have hockey season . . . Puck drops in 20 minutes. Thankfully.

The BIG question probably program-wise now is.....does Sluka come back next year?

The BIG question probably program-wise now is.....does Sluka come back next year? If he's smart he'll be starting at an FBS school this year. I don't have any selfish expectations of him staying at HC.

And Princeton tarnishes one of our quality losses. Exactly. Our national ranking has been boosted from pre-season on by the overhang from last year's incredible run. We should rightfully be behind Laffy and Harvard now. Let's see when the rankings come out. I'll take any breaks we can get but the premium from last year can't last forever.

Last year's PL "championship game" went down to the wire in exciting fashion. So did this year's. The league is on an upswing imo.

Colgate up 28-12 vs Georgetown at the half. I'm headed for 0-3 this week.

Army offense is down this year. We might have a fighting chance. Anytime we have played the Academies lately , they run wild and I dread thinking about the Army ground game but we may be surprised with an improved effort!

We definitely shouldn't be ranked. Lafayette deserves to be in the 19-22 range, especially w Princeton besting the Johnnies today.

We have a Top 10, maybe Top 5 O...unfortunately our D right now is probably bottom half of FCS or so......not a rankings maven, but I don't think we're a Top 25 team overall right now.

The pressure's on the offense to score practically every time they have the ball because the defense is so bad...and in the first half, they didn't.
For a game w/o that many penalties, two really killed HC on Sluka runs* in the second quarter. Plus, I've seen PI called on the defender 99 times out of 100; but the 100th was not called on that long pass to Coker in the same qtr.
* I know things might have played out differently, but w/those 2 runs Sluka would have had around 400 yards rushing.

Stop talking about playoffs. Queue Jim Mora. There was still mentions about seeding before this game so it's hard to turn the steamship around abruptly. If there is an outside possibility of getting in the playoffs with three losses I don't mind kicking it around.🙂

Four weeks (or less with a loss) of scoreboard watching.

Army offense is down this year. We might have a fighting chance. Army will be the 4th best OL we face after Harvard, Laffy, and BC. I think our run D will fare similarly to the BC game. Less of a chance of getting torched in the secondary. And we have a few weeks for young players to continue to develop and for some injured players to return. I'm kind of the "until the fat lady sings" guy and I'm the one still in my seats staring at the ice/field for 10 minutes after the season ending loss, which btw, was not today.

The defense the last three years was so good and was able to balance the games out with the offense. This d is young and is struggling so the more experienced offense needs to run the table rest of way. Only way we have a chance. Let’s go!

When your D line is getting torched, you have to make adjustments by inserting extra linemen. Were changes made? I don't recall any sacks on their QB.

If Fordham beats us next week, they control their own destiny as well. Fingers crossed Lafayette finds a way to lose twice, but not seeing it!
