After losing by 37 one week ago Colgate shot 20 pct from the field - no home court advantage for them as it’s spring break this week Fitting that at the end they took 6 threes and missed them all...that's right, 5 offensive rebounds on the same trip down the court. BU just scored enough to keep them 10 or so points down the entire second half. They weren't tearing it up either; although whenever they felt they needed a hoop, they found a way to get it to #11.

With Allen, Wright, Berger and Cahalan we can offer resistance to B.U.'s twin towers.

So the second seeded team(even in a three way tie) gets the AQ. Does the top seed also receive an AQ if it loses(biting my tongue) in the championship game.?

I was wondering the same thing. Congrats to Colgate, but does that mean the loser of the final game is also an AQ? (Hopefully BU!)

Sunday's loser is an AQ to the new NCAA owned WBIT, I am quite sure.

A new tournament was just announced WZIT for teams who have players with unresolved facial issues. Everyone gets a participation trophy.

Tough for the Terriers that BU beat Colgate in the semifinals but Colgate may leapfrog them into the national post season. The Crusaders have to avoid complacency with an auto-bid win or lose on Sunday while the Terriers will be fighting to continue their season with win or go home stakes. I don't think it will be a problem with the senior leadership on the HC team. A good solution would be for each league to have an auto-bid to each tournament. That favors the non-power conferences and rightly so.

Well, good luck with that. Some might say that the creature known as the WBIT was created to put the WNIT out of buiness since it's not owned by the NCCA unlike the NIT. Similar to the NIT, it appears that the WBIT is skewing towards increasing P5 participation. NCAA doesn't much care about low mid-major conferences. We take the scraps given.

The Ivy might get two teams in the NCAA’s - a terrific game tmro at 5 on espnnews between Columbia (24-4) vs Princeton (23-8). These teams have dominated the Ivy and played tough ooc opponents. Game is at Columbia

Isn't it one school one vote on policy matters? There are more mid majors than power conference schools. Or do bigger schools pay bigger dues and thus get more votes?

Maine’s gym looked very much like UVM’s Patrick Gym, high school style It's a bit different in that there are actual seats (wooden!) and they are above the court rather than bleachers rising from the court. It was an incredible atmosphere last night for women's hoops! The place was rocking!

The box score says the game was played at Patrick Gym in Burlington VT with an attendance of 1507, even though Maine was the #1 seed and UVM was #3 and finished two games behind Maine in the regular season standings.
The post game celebration photo looked more like a home crowd.

Colgate gets UAlbany in the first round, winner plays Providence. Depending on which Colgate team show up, should be a good game
