Just don't have that mindless two minutes or so we've seen so many times this year and they'll be ok.

Playing much better offensively than they have all year. Octave, Kenny and Batch slashing to the hoop, rather than passing around the perimeter till the end of the shot clock.

You mean on threes! They didn't take 25 foul shots, that I'm sure of.

we need solid D now. no 3's, no second chance points. And make free throws

Ref mistakenly blows whistle. Free time out? Becomes the under 4 time out. Not going to help the Cadets anyway.

we need solid D now. no 3's, no second chance points. And make free throws I'll take my chances with the lousy shots Army is throwing up. Half their threes shouldn't have been shot.

It's tough to beat a team 3 times; then again, HC is capable of beating themselves so maybe it's a wash. That's one of the most persistent myths in sports. In reality, it's relatively easy to beat a team three times in a season ONCE you have beaten them twice already. It is a matter of conditional probability. In the NFL playoffs, for example, roughly two-thirds the teams that face an opponent they swept in the regular season go on to win the playoff game. Think of flipping a coin. You have only a 12.5% chance of flipping a head three times in a row. However, if you have already flipped two heads, your chances of flipping a third rises to 50%. In sports, the team that wins the first two games in a series is usually, though not always, the better team. Given that, they are more likely to win a third game than the team who has lost the first two games. And that's exactly what the numbers show. It sure seems like it’s tough to beat a team 3 times!!

Great shooting from three and the foul line.
We like to be the 9 seed.
Question is this Colagte team better than Bucknell in 2016?
I think so it will take a great defensive performance.

This was a nice win! The guys struggled all year to play a full 40 minutes. The played them all tonite. Not sure if it’s going to be tough for Colgate to win 3 times!! But that’s why they play the game.

Great win and the best example I’ve ever seen of the principle of “shots falling” and “shots not falling”. Nice to see multiple examples of HC jumpers hitting the rim, bouncing in the air, and coming back down through the rim for the basket .
