Every one of the 6 Crusaders who attempted 3 point field goals made at least 50% of his shots.

Louth gave them some strong man minutes. What the heck, zero pressure now.

It took an entire season, but Dave Paulsen taught these Crusaders, who had not experienced victories, especially playoff success, exactly HOW to win. The team played with a confidence to take the lead and expand on it throughout the second half.
Caleb’s block of that Army dunk attempt has to be in the ESPN top 10.

A nice win....happy for the players&coaches......this game gives hope....I think we're on the right track but it's going to be a long road back.....this kind of a win gives hope that we're back on the right track though.

Congrats to the team on the win. Overall the best played game in ‘I don’t know when’. They can play loose and free on Thursday.

Making the quarter finals isn't something we should be celebrating. However, after a missing four years in a row, it does feel good. And maybe a sign of real progress

I liked how Bo, Joe and Caleb made free throws down the stretch! Holy Cross was 18-22 from the line, a season-best 81.8%. Importantly, the Crusaders also got there more often than the Cadets (8-14).
We are now 6-1 in league play when we shoot more free throws than our opponents - and 1-11 when we don't.

I'm really happy for the team, especially the seniors. High quality people. Beating Colgate is quite the challenge, but it's not impossible. Let Louth use all of his fouls.

Some fun facts
• Holy Cross hit 12 three-point field goals (by 6 or the 8 who played) on the night, its most ever in a Patriot League Tournament game. • Octave's 28 points were the most by a Crusader in the Patriot League Tournament since Malcolm Miller scored 34 points at Bucknell on March 5, 2015.

AKA a few hours before Milan Brown was fired.
A few other notes: - where's nhteamer with his "there's no want" take from Saturday's game now? Did this look like a team that doesn't WANT to keep going? - if you're going to take a shot at Colgate, I'd argue I'd rather take a shot at catching them snoozing in the quarters before the lights come on.
- we have a coach who has his team ready to play in one-and-done time. That's going to pay off down the road.

By Ken pomeroy’s analysis that was our best offensive efficiency game since we beat Sacred Heart in November 2018

The free throw shooting sealed the game for us. For so many years it’s been our Achilles Heel. Nice to see us get over 80% in a big game. One other great stat? Only 7 turnovers. Is that the lowest turnover number for us in a game this year?

Hand up, you can put me in the “are we packing it in?” camp too. Last night was fun. This game is easier when the ball goes in the basket.

Nice win, impressive stat sheet, in a " win or go home " game, something that hasn't happened around here in a while.....Hopefully a tone-setter for next year heading into the off-season, regardless of the result in Hamilton.....Coaching matters

I've been to some games in person and watched many others on TV. This team has never laid down, never failed to play hard. Octave and Kenney have shown a lot of leadership, and Kenney's development has been incredible.

Team looked prepared and engaged I thought the defense looked pretty good. Of course it helped that Army didn’t shoot well but maybe the work on defense had something to do with that. Colgate often shreds our defense so tomorrow night’s game will be interesting in that regard.

Looking forward to seeing the game tomorrow night. Not looking forward to listening to that Colgate announcer. He either has a crappy microphone, or he sometimes has it in his mouth when yelling. Wondering what the over/under is on how many times we will hear:
"The Mayor of South Kingstown!" "The Cotterell Crazies!"
As for the game itself, defending that team is challenging for anyone. You pretty much have to pick your poison; bombs away or get carved up inside. Like last night, hopefully the guys can avoid a bad stretch that can take them right out of the game.
Remember 2016!
