So UT gets in despite losing in the league tournament final as Southern Indiana can't play due to being in a transition year to DI Just like FDU Men last year with Merrimack winning the NEC last season.

A very, very young team. Frosh and sophs get most of the playing time.

It seems we may have been the highest ranked 16 seed playin team, and now facing the weakest among the four.

UT Martin is 16-16 overall and was 11-7 in third place in OVC losing in the conference championship game to a transitioning Southern Indiana who was first in the OVC at 17-1. Apparently, since the start of the year, they have lost 6 players to season-ending injuries. In a recent game, all 5 starters clocked 40 minutes of PT. A very good 3 point shooting team with a coach who has been OVC coach of the year several times. Almost all frosh and sophs in starting 5. Hopefully our senior laden lineup will make a big difference.

A Sixteen seed is realistically destined to fly home early, why not have a chance to get an NCAA victory in before you head to the airport?

Going to interesting, in that championship game only played 6 & only one is over 6' After winning the semi final, UT was in the tournament so they rested 4/5 starters (did not play at all) in the meaningless final against Southern Indiana.

OK, Massey sees the game as a toss-up with #235 HC (20-12) as a 2 point underdog (61-59). He gives us a 45% chance for the win against #214 UT Martin (16-16).

Or, beat UT Martin and then break out the box and one against Iowa and advance. Piece of cake.

Second place Ivy gets a 12.... Back to back PL champ gets a play in game.
Sorry but the league should be embarrassed.
Good luck to the Crusaders.

Sure, getting a championship back-to-back and going to the NCAA two straight years is embarrassing to the PL. In what world is that?

Sure, getting a championship back-to-back and going to the NCAA two straight years is embarrassing to the PL. In what world is that? When your back to back champ gets a play in game and your 'peer' league gets two in and a 12 seed for their second place team... if I'm the PL I'm embarrassed by the lack of respect. You're getting paired with a .500 team that got waxed in it's conference championship.

Respect IMHO is something earned on the court, not in team seeding. If one league has two strong teams that can happen. Let's see what happens there.

Thanks. Watched a bit of the game against Slippery Rock, the semi-final win. They play a lot of match up zone. Very good foul shooting team. They will test our 3 pt defense.

OK, a play-in game is not a badge of honor but the league could have ended in an eight way tie for first place, so we weren't a league like the MAAC where Fairfield went 31-1. The PL had tremendous parity this season which is a sign of health for any league. One team finished 11-7 with all other teams being closer to .500 without any teams in transition or coming or going. And name tags aren't needed at the league meetings, so that's something.

You can blame MM poor scheduling for them being in the playin game while Princeton played at UCLA, at IU, and Columbia hosted Duke, played Florida, Georgia, Providence (top 100 team in NET), Seton Hall, Nova. How many top 100 teams did MM schedule?

MM propped up UNH. Four straight Years of losing since she left. Third straight year of national post season play at HC. Case closed.
