Perhaps a few sports need an Nil since we don't have the scholarships necessary to compete and the CAF is proving not to be enough to significantly transform those programs

Can't get the doubleheader win without winning game 1
Pick up two today and win the series going into tomorrow
3-3 in the PL

Fair enough, but I could make a strong case for Kenney and four freshmen experiencing a majority of the minutes and feel good about the future.

The women’s selection process is easier
The men might see three plus freshmen getting 65plus% of the minutes

I would think in terms of Kenney and four others
Competition will be fierce

AS I have written the loss of Gerrale Gates was the major factor in preventing this year’s team to be more successful than last The freshmen helped and Kenney improvers but not enough To watch the team proved that DP was a far more competent coach than Nelson With the new recruits I am optimistic that we will see significant improvement in the next few years This year without Gates and the lack of a PG the team improved. While Kenney made significant progress this winter, he will need to do more next year. With Williams and Singleton gaining experience and Boston's pass first mindset, our PG position will be more talented and deeper than it has been in years. Competition for minutes next year should be most interesting, as the freshmen push for starting roles. I would think that unless a player can shoot, score, and defend his playing time will be impacted.

I wonder if we turned the clock back and asked students, alums, fans, and the community from that era what they thought of the decision at that time would it be a different response from what we read or hear today?
Just guessing but at that time I think about 90% were disappointed, upset, and confused by the decision. Many continue to hold those feelings today.
A few years later, with the narrative presented by the good Father and his BOT, and HC athletics with nowhere to go, we found a path to the Colonial/Patriot League. The faculty, many in the Administration, and a percentage of the alumni found a degree of comfort around the mission statement and the narrative, and a place for all sports to have a home. Others waved the white flag and accepted the next forty years of our athletic mediocrity, while the third group remained firm in its opposition.
While we will never know what might have been, I think the 90% of those opposed in 1980 probably has been reduced to 70% today, but the emotions on both sides remain. When you include those who know nothing different than the PL the number likely drops to 35-40%, if they care at all.
With all of the realignment, will another opportunity for our student-athletes be offered? Time will tell, but even if offered I doubt the school will select a different path, and it certainly won't tap into its significant treasures to make the right investments and allow a different level of commitment and success.
Rest easy and everybody have a special Holy Week and Blessed Easter.

Reallocate so one year you give a half and not a full
The point is lets just do something unlike others north, south, east and west of Worcester

The PL may stink, but college basketball as a whole doesn't smell all that great to me these days. Agree the PL is a disaster, my words, and we need a better league for ALL sports At the same time college sports is at an all time low, but just ahead of the NBA and NFL

Yep I think so, with or without purple shades
Over 4 years we have 8 quality pitchers, 4 middle defenders and 4 power hitters
That is a winning combination

Give three full scholarships per year 2 full for pitchers 1/2 for an up the middle defender I/2 for a power hitter
We could be very good, top 25, in three to five years

For more perspective on Clark, check out the Iowa board (especially the last few pages of the game thread and the link below). Lots of Hawkeye fans thought she was a jerk. Her dad thought she was a jerk. Why? Maybe because she can be . . . a jerk. iowa.forums.rivals.com/threads/clark.440201/She plays with an edge and a personality Much like other great players like Pistol Pete

Spend the money to make it better- it doesn't take much more of an investment to jump a level or two
The school counts on us to fund this and that responsibility should be owned by the Administration and the Board
They are failing the student athletes of our school, while our competition does the opposite

A logical worry. Coach LaChapelle was extended on the women's side I believe. It would be a shame if there is not enough left to reward and extend Coach Riga. Change the budget😇✝️ We have the dollars they just need to make the right investments

All of our major sports should play a a national OOC schedule with three to five buy games for hoops, two or three for hockey, and two for football.
Regional games offer little, save for a few memories of time gone by
If that isn’t possible, and I were Kit which I am not, I would be really creative and attempt to put schools like Iowa, UVA, Stanford, Northwestern, Vandy, Rice, Duke, and BC on a three year contract, with an away, home, away set of games with no payment over the next five to seven years for women and men’s hoops
I would have two FBS buy games per year for football and in a twelve game season bring a team to Worcester
Aspirational of course but it would change the future world of HC sports without leaving a conference that most here seem to enjoy- naturally I don’t but as an N of 1, I wave the flag at least for now
