Merrimack picked up UConn's QB. Pretty great that he gets to lose to us 2 years in a row.

I think we will see the NEC programs pass the Patriot League in the coming seasons as they are able to get grad transfers into their schools. Just saw a tweet that HC grad transfer Macklin Kortebein was Bryant's special teams player of the year.

maybe LSU...with NFL aspirations? His tweet says he is transferring to pursue his NFL dreams. I don't think it matters these days, as they'll find you anywhere.

Good for him. Trying to do a graduate transfer to larger school.

Everyone should calm down. There is no indication Chesney is leaving right now. I hope our new AD gives him an extension and compensation equal to his contributions to the program. We should be paying at least as much of the CAA programs we are seeking to compete against.
If Chesney leaves for an opportunity he feels is better for his family and coaching future, good for him. I will thank him for his service. I would tend to think continuity with James as HC would be the obvious choice, but any contemplation of a successor is really premature at this point.

We were undefeated against the other league members who play with the same restrictions. GU plays with more restrictions but that's their choice. Georgetown's most significant restriction is trying to recruit with the highest AI in the league, not scholarships. If it had 60 scholarships tomorrow, the PL rule still limits the ability to recruit, and it's entirely likely Georgetown does no better with 60 grants than they do today, if the talent pool remains so narrow. Why spend $6 million to be no better than Bucknell? BS - AI hurts all PL teams vs name recognition of Ivies. Allan Iverson would like a word; not written obviously.

In the heat of the game, we second guess and complain - a function of our passion for the program. In all, there are a few takeaways, that I think should be universally agreed upon:
1. The program is in great hands with Chesney. If he leaves at some point in the near future for a larger school, we will be in a better position. I don't think that time is now and I fully expect him to be around for a little while. This staff can recruit, and it will be exciting to see what some of the younger kids can develop into. There is no need to be concerned about transfers, etc. Every team loses a few kids each year. If they don't want to stay and be crusaders, and compete for a starting spot, then good riddance. Next guy up. 2. This was a great season. Near perfect, except for the Harvard and Merrimack game. We should be excited about next year. 3. Last night was a valiant effort, and we gave Nova everything they could handle. It was a one possession game against the 5th ranked team in the nation. 4. Our defense was great all season (in total), and Dobbs is a special player. If given the chance (if some measurables are overlooked, i.e. height), he is good enough to play on Sunday's. Need a little more consistency from some other guys (#18 on that long pass, #17 on the scramble, etc.). I expect Bolden to make an impact next year. 5. Our offense needs some work. Sluka is a talent and competitor. He is young and has time to develop, but obviously needs to improve his throwing. He made some great throws last night, but also made some poor throws in the ground. His legs keep us in drives and thus, games. Our receivers need to catch the ball. They are very talented, but there were some drops at inopportune times. We do need to be more explosive, but I think we have the pieces (#1, #19, etc.). Running Back is a strength. I think Oliver was great, Fuller is going to have a career, and #5 ran hard last night. I think missing Purdy on short passes hurts, but not enough to swing a game. 7.In game coaching. You cannot say enough good things about half-time adjustments all season. That is a testament to good coaching.
3 straight PL champs. 3 straight PO appearances. First playoff win. Almost thirst second round win. HC Football is obviously on the right trajectory.
Congrats to the Coaches and the boys. On to recruiting and the offseason. Let's make it 4 in a row.

Down and distance and who has the ball? ESPN not doing gamecast on the app. 1 and 10 1:47 left one timeout left. Looking grim.

inhocsigno, really ? you were alone in not appreciating Sluka until today - we haven't had a competitor at HC like him since Michael Vicens in the 70's Never heard of Vicens.

Is it me or does Sluka's release on short passes seem very low and susceptible to tips and picks? He just waits a second too long. He is just waiting and not anticipating, so rush is deeper in backfield.

I haven’t been as big a Sluka fan as others, but this kid is gritty and I like him. Obviously he cannot tackle however.

Based on how pissed he was in post game interview, I think that Chesney will get them ready for Nova. It was a poor showing on offense today. I don’t expect as bad a performance next week (win or lose).
Did the other other coach shake Chesney’s hand after. It seemed that he did not from broadcast. Also, Sacred Heart players were classless throughout and especially after the game.
