Think the screen is retracted into the ceiling. Note the dark line on the ceiling an inch or two from the wall behind Rose Shea.
Also, hard to believe that the room is finished with respect to decor - especially when you consider that one of the first things Nate Pine did after arriving was to add things like logos, pictures, etc. to venue fences, dooors, and entrances.
Let's see the finished product before getting too worked up.

I think I see a pull-down screen in the ceiling. Can't be sure though.

Everything is digital, there will be a 60" monitor on the wall, or maybe 2...There is no more "Film"..Teams send game "Tapes" via the internet now, instantly transfering the images to their opponents..even the days of mailing DVD's of games is now in the rearview mirror...All the scouting is now digital...

Well, HC has ordered 14 96 inch screens, motorized and not, and 25 62 inch monitors for Luth. The screens are very likely for projected images. "Elite Screens Spectrum, 100-inch Diag 16:9, Electric Motorized Sound Transparent 4K Ready Drop Down Projector Screen, ELECTRIC100H-AUHD" Amazon cost $400. 62 inch monitors (dell) run about $2500 each On Amazon .

My visit to the LAC in brief....
1) It's first-class !
2) Lot's of nooks and crannys ( I got lost walking around lol )
3) Pine's office is large and spiffy ( he deserves it ! )
4) Carmody's office is very nice ( he hasn't unpacked totally )
5) Couldn't find Gilmore's digs
6) Remember ( I think ) those 2 incoming frosh gals who are performance ice skaters ? Both were on the ice practicing and in addition to being quite attractive, yea they can do all the jumps and spins !
7) That football theatre-style team room is first rate....comfy high-back chairs.
8) The weight room is enormous....as big/bigger than many ACC schools.
9) Hart court doors were locked but peeking in gotta say the floor, seats, etcetera looks super ( Carmody and a couple assistants were working with what appeared to be 2 of the frosh on basic give and go stuff ).
10) Chatted with Paul P. ( swim coach ) and pool has also received attention with new LED lighting and ADA deck in seating level.
11) Oh....the bathrooms....relax, they are lovely, they work and have hot water !!
12 ) Blaney gym....AIR, the floor is a duplicate of main gym. Just 2 game hoops no side court hoops yet, otherwise appears finished.
13 ) The Indoor Barn....it definitely has a/c ( was running ) and heat. FieldTurf perfect but did we know there's only 1 endzone ? The back end ends at the 15-yard line....guess they ran out of room. Oh, definitely can't do any punting but FG attempts should be ok. Workers let me walk out on the field.
Summary - it's a little cramped with so many corridors, locker rooms, offices ( there are posted 'road maps' on the walls ) but this complex certainly screams 'big time' despite the Patriot League. If you haven't been on campus in awhile, worth a visit and tour.
BTW, the old fieldhouse is definitely gonna be demolished....saw an artist rendering on Pine's wall of the new center.

Workers let me walk out on the field. *** During my tour of the LAC back in July (on the morning of the football golf outing), Nate Pine stated that the field was 100 yards long. That was to include from the back of one end zone to the opposite 10-yard line. Allows for practicing with a regulation end zone (both offense and defense), and was preferable to having the field go from goal line to goal line and having no end zones.

There's hanging goal posts at both ends suspended from the ceiling. Also saw ceiling nets over the inner sideline at the 50-yard line that may be for practice punting and/or for baseball batting cages in off season. All the locker rooms have push button code boxes by the doors so I couldn't see inside any of them.

BTW, walked down to Hogan....outside it's the same building but inside it's all been remodeled. Was pleasantly surprised by the expanded bookstore and the quality and expanded HC gear inventory offerings with the new branding. The PO is still next door but the lobby has a coffee shop, sundry store and a....beauty salon !! The upper floors are all different and near as I could surmise the café is long gone.
Also, I've never seen Linden Lane look better....absolutely gorgeous ! This time of year the campus is lush with flowers and leafy green.

rickii, thanks very much for the very detailed report.
Several comments.
1.) Gilmore's and the football coaches offices are in old strength and conditioning. Upper floor, may not be done yet. Other coaches office (field sports) on ground floor of that part of the 'old' Hart.
2.) As the field isn't 120 yards in length, it may not be used for competition lacrosse. Soccer is definitely out, and I think field hockey is as well.
3.) Was ADNP's office suite done? I had heard wouldn't be finished until the end of the year.
4.) I believe there are two, maybe more, batting cages for baseball, softball. Netting to hang from the ceiling.

1) I found my way up to Bud Ryan room ( new entrance ) but got confused/lost getting over to the other end on the upper floor. The 1st floor doors were locked back to pool/wellness area corridor.
2) My guess is the field is only suitable for practice pp. The walls are a bit too close....a lacrosse or field hockey ball would ping-pong off them.
3) Yup....also appeared the whole AA suite area was pretty much done too....as stated - pretty snazzy.
4) Could be. The netting I saw was kinda bunched up hanging about 20 feet off the floor....looked multifunctional to me. Very possible more nets will be hung.
BTW, a fellow I chatted with in Hogan ( who will remain nameless - there was a BOT reception underway ) said Hart was in really bad shape ( multiple code violations ) and getting close to being closed by the city....YIKES ! Same for the old fieldhouse. Apparantly HC was running out of time on getting this whole initiative underway....quickly. I think you made mention of same last year but not sure. Doubt many folks on the outside knew about this and just as well.
Oh and on another matter, this gentleman - who believe me is in position to know such things - was quite emphatic on HC's intent on joining Hockey East. I let it go at that.

rickii, with respect to code violations, there was a bit of discussion on the old board that there was fairly extensive demolition required on the old Hart to access the steel framing, for example, which was never fireproofed when built.
As I don't know the dimensions of the old exit doors and stairs, I can't tell whether they were compliant with current code. If they weren't quite possible that the fire marshal would limit public attendance. .
The Hart certainly wasn't ADA compliant. Even though they refurcbished the pool a year or so before they started construction of Luth, they installed wheelciar spectator seating under the Luth contract.
I have predicted that construction of the student rec center will begin next spring. Did the rendering of the new (replacement) field house on NP's wall show a lot of glass on the facade?

May have been of the street end.

The replacement field house is supposed to have a lot of glass on the north wall. For the capital campaign, HC had Sasaki, the Luth architects, sketch up the new east wall of the old field house. A lot of glass. But that was a placeholder. HC is demolishing the old field house, expanding the size, etc. And the architects for the student rec center are SMMA, but I can't find any renderings on their site.

Not sure where you got your information, but the football offices will be on the bottom floor of what was the Smith Wellness Center. Olympic sport coaches will have the Upper Floor in what was General student and campus Wellness.

Is this rec center to.be built before the Pac? hoops -
The area for the PAC - I think - is where there once were student tennis courts....then turned into added parking later on. Saw nothing remotely underway there....still a parking area. Externally, nothing going on at the old fieldhouse either....and it's getting a little ratty around the small windows and doorways. Lot's of fond memories of the old place but it's time for it to go.

Olympic sport coaches will have the Upper Floor in what was General student and campus Wellness. You are correct. On the drawings, the entry level is football coaches, volleyball, golf and tennis. This level has four conference rooms and a kitchen. The upper level (second floor) has the field sports. rowing, a kitchen, and one conference room. The plans do not show office for women's ice hockey coaches, or for swimming, although there is a room identified as "office" near the pool. There are two unmarked rooms off the east side of the rink, opposite the stairs and elevator to the Bud Ryan room. Perhaps these are offices for women's ice hockey coaches.

PP When you refer to the rec Center, is this the new rendition of the old field house ? Yes. The Luth's gave $7.5 million for the new (replacement) field house. I believe the amount received from the sale of Chateau d'Yquem was around $6-7 million. So using Fr. B's 65 percent funding on-hand before starting construction criterion, that threshold has been met. Cost of new field house <$20 million or so.. I would also note that the student recreation center is not part of the capital campaign, as was Luth, Joyce, and the PAC. That signals to me that the money is in hand. Last I looked, less than $35 million has been raised for the PAC. The PAC is estimated to cost $90+ million. Also the value on the city of Worcester permit for construction of Luth was $72 million, not $95 million. What was left out of the permit? Utilities, landscaping outside the building? Architects fees (but much of these were funded by the college before construction)? Furnishings would be omitted. Its possible that the contingency part of the Luth projected $95 million cost was not spent and if so, could fund the small set of locker rooms near Fitton Field for softball, baseball, football. The contingency ought not be in the permit value.

Yes women's hockey moved into their new space, which is comprised of the old women's hockey office and the old men's hockey office, last spring.

I'm sure they wouldn't skip an upgrade for ONE AND ONLY HC team that can compete with the country's best
