Great for Milan Brown and C of C. Hard to believe that program hasn't made it since 1999 -- seemed like they never finished below third in the SoCon all those years.

BC might be one of the most improved teams in the country when considering how they were playing in November. They are a very good offensive team and have legit acc talent

They are a very good offensive team and have legit acc talent Robinson and Bowman, anyway...and they lost a guy named Hawkins; a grad transfer, that was supposed to be excellent. 2 very good recruits coming in. And yet, there are still BC-philes that want Christian gone.

I understand that some still hate BC, but having them be good in basketball and on the HC schedule every year would be good for HC basketball.
Assuming HC basketball will actually be good itself at some point (fingers crossed), having exciting OOC games that get local fins interested and showcase a good HC product (fingers crossed that this will eventually happen again some time) would be a great thing for the program.

How old are you ? BC. And HC were rivals for decades before our de-emphasis in the 80s-90s.

Holy Cross vs bc was not a "friendly rivalry"--it was hatred, pure and simple.

Growing up I looked at BC and ND as the catholic schools and loved watching them on tv. I remember watching BC beat North Carolina in the NCAAs with Bill Curley I think it was 94?

Why all the hate for BC? I never really got the rivalry - by the time I got there from NY in the early 80's we weren't very similar (beyond the Jesuit and Massachusetts similarity) and we always got blown out in football (and I have no idea if we even played them in basketball). I thought pretending there was a 'rivalry' or that HC hated BC and vice versa was sort of a throwback goof. And that was 35+ years ago.

It's amazing I don't even know BC's record this year or whether they have a chance to get in the tournament back in the day I knew their program and players as well as I knew ours, the rivalry with BC and PC was so intense that I rooted for the Russians when they played exhibition games against them.

Russia 😳 isn’t this a one sided rivalry? Not sure BC folks feel the same. This is sounding like big brother little brother.

Boy have things changed - talk about diverging trajectories. I guess that is why I am not particularly happy/nostalgic about playing BC in football - - I'd rather see a more realistic HC-UMass matchup if we are playing a Massachusetts FBS program.

Holy Cross vs bc was not a "friendly rivalry"--it was hatred, pure and simple. Remember it like it was yesterday! ! Our great class of '67 beat BC twice, during our 4 years on the hill - Freshman year '63-'64 and Senior year '66-'67! '66-'67 was a great game at Chestnut Hill: 32 - 26! Lentz (he threw the Bomb) to Kimener (he caught the Bomb)!!! !
