Georgetown has 20 sports that are in the Big East. Two - football and women's rowing - are in the PL because the Big East doesn't sponsor those sports.

They are the top academic school in the PL. Tho I say dump them and Richmond and Fordham if they don't play 2 basketball games per season of PL schools. Methinks ADNP would not get it.

Georgetown once had a baseball field on campus. It was sacrificed for the new multi-sport field where football is now played. Football was once played on the top of Yates, the student recreation center. Georgetown now plays baseball in Rockville MD. about 15 miles away by car. The perils of a land-poor school.

I agree 100% with ncaam although, perhaps egomaniacly, he agrees with me. I have been saying this for twenty years.
BTW, why don't we kick them out? No good answer but a pair would help.

IIRC, College Factual has alma mater ranked as the #2 Catholic college/university, and G'town is #3. As such, G'town is no better than the second best academic school in the PL.

Demand the hoop games of Fordham and Georgetown.
If they decline (so they can play St Leo's and South Texas State) throw them out
Replace them with anyone you want: Marist, Duquesne, whomever
NO ONE (unfortunately) will notice.
Have some self respect HC!

Actually, the site of the old G'town baseball field now houses the business school, but it's right next door to the new football field.

after 2 weekends, with HC coming down to earth after that first game at Houston, it's the service academies playing the best. navy is 4-2 and army is 3-4 after taking 2 of 3 from Maryland in College Park this weekend. The cadets also played Michigan very tough in Fl. the previous weekend taking one of three close games.

Navy took 2 of 3 vs Air Force. How strong is AFA ? Strongest out of the three acadmies as they play in a much better conference with the Mountain West. They have gotten better the last few years especially on the mound.

Obviously the Valpo and 2nd OK game were rough, but wouldn't they lost 1-0 and 3-2 in extras to a AAC and Big 12 team. 2 bad losses doesn't change my opinion on this team. They're young, but wouldn't be surprised to see them in another NCAA regional this year.

In a previous posting "nhteamer" stated that we could add Duquesne to the Patriot League. The Duquesne Dukes would never leave the A-10.
