Great half. Announcers are impressed. Butler hasn't missed a shot. He should play every fourth game.

Austin Butler-- it's almost as if a good player had a couple of off games and then started hitting his shots....
13 assists on 15 baskets --pretty solid

What is Stony Brook's shooting percentage? - they seem to be shooting pretty well.

Benzan frustrates me. He does nothing besides stop every time he gets the ball. We also struggle to defend the three ball. Lastly Copeland does nothing I'm not at the game so I can't comment on the plays you are observing, but my experience is that Pat Benzan is one of the most creative and active players we have, with or without the ball-- changes of speed, changes of direction seem to be his stock-in-trade, not stopping when he gets the ball.

-Really good first 9 minutes to go up 13 at the under 12 timeout. SB was in a disorganized man defense that was getting shredded, and was not attacking HC’s zone at all. -HC comes out of the under 12 media timeout with a shot clock violation, which leads to a 3 for Stony Brook that catapults an 11-0 run. It is remarkable how many times we come out of a timeout and have a shot clock violation or turnover on our next offensive possession.
-Stony Brook then switched into a zone which stopped them from getting carved up, and it just turned into a shooting contest. HC is settling for a lot of 3’s, but seemed to make a pretty high percentage for a stretch in the second part of the half.
-Awful decision by Stony Brook to take a bad 3 pointer in their second to last possession rather than winding the clock down and taking a shot that would have left only ~6 seconds on the clock for HC’s last shot. They had a chance to cut their deficit to 2 or 3, but instead allowed HC to stretch out to 7.
-This is Butler’s kind of game - he’s getting a lot of wide open shots without having to create anything - so hopefully the shots keep falling, or the defense will have to step up.

Floyd is having a nice all-around game and is not overmatched down low.
Latimer of SBU is a great shooter but we're keeping him in check.

This ESPN3 production is good quality. Perhaps we have caught SBU a little confused how to handle their exhilarating win over South Carolina...or perhaps HC is a darn good mid major team. Hopefully in both halves this time.

Floyd should not be picking up a third foul like that with a 14 point lead

Up 59-39.
Coming off a respectable showing at Providence.
And, did anyone notice that Michigan annihilated Villanova?
This team might be pretty good. And it just put the hammer down with JF on the bench. He's a real talent, but I don't think we're going to be lost without him next year.
The sun is rising on this program.

Should be over now.
Kudos to the Crusaders for bringing a lot of intensity to an empty arena in both the first & second halves. It was very clear that their effort and intensity was exponentially higher than Stony Brook.
SB has some talented players, but the look very disorganized and thats’s not going to get it done against this HC team. Jeff Boals looked lost on the sideline.
