Agree, plus road wins are more valuable than in a while.

FINAL. BU 87, Bucknell 80. Mahoney with 26 and 14, Sestina 27 and 9. Poor job (64%) on the D-boards by the Bison.
This was Bucknell's eighth straight road game; they''ll be happy to get back to Sojka next week E Bucknell will have excuses for the loss. Don’t need our help in that department.

Tough loss for AU. We were up eight with eight minutes left, came back from four down with two minutes left and had two great looks in the last 30 seconds for the lead, but missed both. Sa'eed with 18 to lead us with Stacy Beckton scoring a career-high 17 off the bench. Not happy about the loss, but we played very well for most of the game. Burns made some big plays down the stretch.

Another great game for AU's Sa'eed Nelson: 25 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in 40 minutes. That included 7 of 14 from the floor and 11 of 12 from the line, including 6 of 6 in the final minute to put things away.

Stadium working for the Game? It worked beautifully for the women's game. I do miss seeing a shot clock on the screen though.

Nelson led AU with 18 points, but he didn't score at all in the last nine minutes, going 0-4 from the field, 0-1 from the line, and committing three TOs during that time. Good showing on the road by American, which isn't going to finish seventh . . .

We've lost two road games at Colgate and Bucknell by a combined five points. Beyond frustrating. But we're still learning how to win, especially in crunch time.

Bucknell (3-1) has trailed at the half in each of their league games. Worse, they have trailed by double figures at one point or another in each league game. Also they have trailed by double figures 13 times in 16 games. Managed to win six of the games where they trailed by double digits (Bona, Vermont, URI, Army, Colgate, American). It's hard to keep digging out of those kind of holes.
