Announcer said both injuries were lower legs I heard that, and speculated on the game thread about the possibility of stress fractures.

The NCAA doesn't keep announcer stats.🤣 But yes, even as vague an injury description as lower leg does not get disclosed often. I think you might be surprised as to how often injuries do get disclosed in college basketball. Even at Bucknell’s level it is not uncommon and at the P6-conference level injuries are often disclosed. All it takes is for the player to say it’s OK. For another example, take a look at the UConn women, where all of their numerous injuries have been reported on in great detail. I agree with Bison that the degree of transparency on player injuries seems to be much greater at other schools, particularly P5 schools, than it is at HC. Michigan’s Blake Corum and Jaelin Llewellyn are two recent examples. I suspect that the permission from the HC players would be readily given in many/most cases.

If Joe DeSantis can get the lower leg scoop, I wonder if our broadcast team can somehow provide some additional info. Probably shouldn't count on it.

Maybe it just needs a journalist to ask the question. Dick Lutz isn't asking about players' health in the pre-game anymore. We're fortunate that Jen Toland shows up for home games (I think) but she's not asking hard questions

The T&G hasn't had any games stories for the last 2 games.

That's encouraging. With the last three games being on the road, I would have guessed no game story for last 3 games

A name from the past A HS teammate of HC’s Charley Brown at Tolentine in the Bronx A terrific playmaker for Fairfield in the late 70s- early 80s A coach for many years A fine person

I looked at his Wikipedia page to see exactly how old he is (65). This is in the introductory paragraph: "DeSantis is best remembered as "Joey D" and his role in leading the 1978 Fairfield Stags men's basketball team to a program best 22–5 overall record, a victory over the then #14 nationally ranked Holy Cross Crusaders, and a berth in the National Invitational Tournament."He mentioned HC having a proud basketball tradition a few times. No doubt he recalls it well. I wonder if GB recruited him. Of course, we had a pretty good scoring guard in that era.

You have to wait 2 days to get the write-ups on high school football games. I think the same goes for college football and hoop scores. Coverage of Holy Cross basketball is very minimal.

Once Bobby Kelly transferred, Joe’s point guard play would have perfectly complimented Ronnie’s scoring.
