his all America d-3 player at Randolph Macon, Danny Jones, was one of my best players on my last AAU team.
A tight end offered by UVA, VPI, Maryland and UNC could throw a devastating screen. He was only 6’4 but put 23 and 26 up against Durant. We split 4 games against his teams. In one game we won 43-42 the other three were in the 90s
I tried to keep out of the way

I went to Battle of the Bronx last night. Fordham beat Manhattan 93-61 at Rose Hill. Series resumed after a 1 year hiatus.

Last night during the UConn- UNH game the announcer reported that Bison 137’s best friend and favorite coach, Nathan Davis, had faced UConn’s star transfer, Cam Spencer, at all three of Spencer’s schools (Rutgers and Loyola, Baltimore) in every season Spencer has played. Davis is 1-4 in total against Spencer. The announcer's statement was not exactly correct since Bucknell did not face Loyola at all in the 2020-21 covid year. Loyola in total played 17 games that year - but none vs Bucknell.

Princeton comes back from 10 down late in the game to beat a feisty Furman squad 70-69 on a 3 point shot with 4.2 seconds left. The purple-clad visitors wilted under full court pressure. Just a terrific college game at Jadwin gym.
Watched another great game last night on BTN as NU upset #1 Purdue in OT. In the post-game presser, coach Collins opined that Edey is the most dominant player in the college game he has ever seen.

How about that UConn - Kansas game last night - both teams played very well ‘and hard’ - Spencer had a 3 pt attempt with 4 secs left that would have given UC a 1 pt lead. He missed and Jayhawks won 69-65

Austin’s “little” brother playing #13 FAU on ESPNU. Down 5 with 8 min left. Bryce just hit a huge 3 to stop the bleeding. Looked like FAU was about to blow it open.

He missed and Jayhawks won 69-65 UConn was atrocious in the first half and lucky to be down only 7. They played much better in the second half. Not sure Clingan is ready to be a lottery pick this year. Tristen Newton is really good.

The fat lady was on stage, but had not sung a note. I bet Yale wished it had not given up that uncontested layup.

When inbounding, Yale could have thrown the ball to a UVM player inside the three point line and it would have been game over.

Hard to top that for a fantastic finish! Great matchup too. C'mon, Dave! You can do better than that!!! Aren't you the guy that loved the ending by that same UVM school against Syracuse in the DCU (or whatever it was called at the time)?

Correct me if I am wrong but Rob’s shot was to tie the game, not win. However, he was playing for the Crusaders which automatically makes it a better finish!😂

CAA had two Top 25 scalps yesterday. Drexel over Villanova and UNC Wilmington over Kentucky. And College of Charleston was hanging with #13 FAU until mid-way through the 2nd half. They ultimately lost 90-74.
Villanova probably has no business in the Top 25 at this point. They've now lost to Penn, St. Joe's and Drexel in intra-city action.

FWIW, ESPN’s latest draft ranking, which came out today, has Clingan moving up to the sixth spot overall. I just don't know. Do NBA teams use lottery picks on guys who have absolutely no ability to shoot from the perimeter? He is a dominating college player who will continue to improve around the basket offensively and will be a defensive beast. Maybe that's enough. I want Clingan to succeed because he is a Connecticut kid who said no to the private schools and no to reclassifying. He graduated in four years from his local public high school (that his late mother also attended) where he led a bunch of kids he probably had been playing with since elementary school to three state championships and then went to his home state university. I like everything about the story.
