Well.......after a 4 game win streak on the road under pressure last year.......one measly 17 point deficit is a piece of cake.

I think the Pat Benzan bandwagon I have been driving is going to get a bit more crowded. What a player--so smart, so aware, so creative

Gutsy win! Guys looked a little tired early, turned it on with their D. RC looks like he is struggling a bit physically. Doesn't have te pop in his legs he had earlier in the season..LeSann was a catalyst..PB had a nice game, his hustle is contagious...KC is starting to be a force..MA seems mentally tired, he makes plays, or doesn't, and is very late. The foul with about a minute left, case in point. He reacted just a bit late, wasn't ready to grab the rebound.. Still, we have to elated with this win..Biggest comeback in a long, long time..It gives the team a big shot of confidence... Look out American on Monday! Students must be back by then? A good show of support will really help this team!!

Totally agree. He got a ball taken away from him as well as it appeared not focused. Agree he seems mentally tired as he's been carrying this team pretty much all season. A true warrior. RC is also a warrior playing with pain that has affected his game. But he will be well soon and we'll be that much better. CLS seems to have shaken whatever monkey has been on his back and is starting to show more than glimmers of what we expected before the season started. PB is the man!
However, before we get too excited, this was Army that we beat, not Lehigh, Bucknell or BU.

TREMENDOUS GUTS. What does PB have to do to convince CBC? Why, on a team with severe challenges on offense, does CBC continue to play AT so much? PB has a higher scoring average than AT. Yet AT has the 2nd highest mins/gm on the team. I remain a fan of CBC, HOWEVER. I have heard CBC on 2 or 3 occasions say "I won't change....." Very strange. There is one characteristic of CBC that is starting to bother me. He seems to be offended by any suggestion to change something, even little things. He's done it more than once on the coaches shows. For me, he has become MISTER RIGID. It worries me.

Army looked very well coached Passed the ball extremely well --27 assists on 31 Fg(to our 17) Shredded our matchup with those passes and terrific early 3 point shooting, forced us to play the 1-3-1 exclusively' the 1-3-1 disrupted their offensive rhythm and contested many passes, resulting in Army turnovers and transition hoops. they will be competitive vs most PL teams playing as they did tonight

Ca you spell LAZARUS?
They came back from the brink and stole an away game, second road win this year!
Great overall team effort to come from 17 behind!
Clayton gave us the spark that we needed! Hopefully this will translate into more playing time for him! His stroke was a thing of beauty tonight!
Looking forward to AU Monday!
AU, CU, Navy and Buck all win!
This league is up for grabs....

I still don't think CLS will ever be any good.
For the uninitiated, that was me picking on certain negative posters. Great comeback tonight. Glad to see CLS get it going.

I don't think BCarm looks at AnT as taking minutes away from PB (who played 33 minutes tonight). I think if AnT's minutes are reduced, it will be because someone like CLS demonstrates consistent shooting ability.

I think the Pat Benzan bandwagon I have been driving is going to get a bit more crowded. What a player--so smart, so aware, so creative amen! although you've had a number of co-pilots, including sov and myself benzan is clearly the best point guard on the team and one of the best players on the team, regardless of position. we likely won't hear from our good friend and trusted analyst bringbackcaro tonight since we won the game, but i would be curious to see if he has changed his mind on his strong assertion that benzan was "timid" and the clueless insults he threw at a number of posters still hold? i honestly wasn't sure about him last year, but i think we can all agree that benzan is the real deal. i'm sure thompson is a good kid, but the minutes thompson and benzan are playing should at least be reversed. benzan is so much more productive and plays with so much more energy that having him on the bench with thompson's relatively empty minutes ahead of him is hurting the team. playing benzan and thompson together creates problems against zones at times, that husek (who is often on the bench with this lineup and hardly played tonight) and after tonight's breakthrough performance, lesann, can resolve with their three point shooting. i am a huge fan of carmody and i think he will go down in history as having saved this basketball program. i can't wait to see what the future holds! but carmody's distribution of minutes and extremely short leashes with a few players (hard to get in a rhythm that way) and no leash at all for others is hurting this team. subbing lesann out tonight when he was in the zone in favor of a hurt/struggling rc was another really bad move, but fortunately we overcame it. i don't think there's any way around this shortcoming in carmody's minutes distribution when you look at the statistics - even the basic statistics - and watch even a handful of games. when you look at efficiency - which captures almost everything a player produces on the court, including steals - the discord between the minutes played and production is apparent. just look at the efficiency statistics tonight, keeping in mind that the more minutes played, the greater the efficiency in general. www.sidearmstats.com/army/mbball/?DB_OEM_ID=33100oh well, this is probably for another time to worry about. but i am worried about it because we won't always be able to overcome empty minutes from players who don't produce, especially against zones. but for tonight, i'm just going to enjoy the bit win!

The taking out of LeSann came after a one handed pass that was stolen. He has never played in a close game down the stretch, Champion has frequently. My guess is that CBC wanted Clayton to go away from this game with a totally positive experience, no need for CBC to risk possible key errors at the end by CLS. Ant was very aggressive at the top of the 1-3-1, causing deflections and turnovers. PB is the best at thee bottom despite getting caught on some mismatches. Their defensive quickness was definitely one of the keys to this win. The game was too fast for MH.

Great win! CLS had a breakout game, hopefully gives him some confidence. I watched him at a game last year, and have to say I was less than impressed, although he did hustle and gave 100% all game. Was told then that he was a streaky shooter and could light it up. He gave the guys the shot the needed. PB, KC and MH all scored when they needed it; however it was the defense that won them the game! From the 16 minute mark, they turned it up. Bodies were flying around, AT put on full court pressure, and they played with abandon, which hasn't been seen on this team in a while. They got Army out of their game and controlled the tempo. Hopefully this is the start of something!

Holy Cross was 18-28 from the field in the second half, including 6-12 from three - 75% EFG. After committing just 3 TOs in the first half, Army had 12 in the second half.
