Following up on the comments from just a few weeks back and given the seriousness of the issues addressed here which impact us all within the Holy Cross community far and wide, I welcome sharing this recent release from the World Council for Health: worldcouncilforhealth.org/about/ There seems to be rather widely acknowledged global confirmation of the data within the release below dated October 11th. I will defer to those with professional experience or informed opinions to weigh in with their thoughts. Given the kindred spirits within this online community I certainly also appreciate hearing from one and all. Thank you. worldcouncilforhealth.substack.com/p/urgent-expert-hearing

I wonder when Hamas was established, what prompted their being founded and who helped in making that happen?
Probably worthy of serious review in light of current developments.

Ultimately all about execution.
Goals are well defined and all eminently attainable.
Participation goals in and of themselves represent a meaningful way of moving the needle. Need to bring some of our ‘wayward’ sheep (Crusaders) back into the fold. File this under ‘basic blocking and tackling’.
The NIL is a means to impact the program outside of the CAF but effectively by augmenting the CAF.
The final sum will ultimately be greater than all the individual parts simply given the passion and pride within our Crusader Football Family.
The all consuming Mission remains the same: A commitment to excellence in helping our Crusaders win on and off the field.
Thank you one and all.
LET’S WIN !!

The following message was sent out post this fabulous night with the Crusaders this past Monday:
Jordan,
Thank you again for all you do to make evenings like this past Monday run so smoothly. Has anybody on campus ever thought of tagging you with the nickname, "The Glue"? I offer that suggestion only half in jest.
Thank you also to our Crusader without peer Bill Maloney for the vision, inspiration and passion over these many decades in making this Career Night so special. I also would be remiss in not thanking my fellow Crusader alums for your dedication to this event and the HCFB program. All of this does not happen to the level that has been achieved without the leadership of the finest coach in college football. Thank you, Coach Chesney. You make this ALL so special.
As I proposed in my remarks, in the spirit of FAMILY I think it would be very beneficial if all the Crusaders took approximately 90 minutes to read, review and savor the bios of the Crusaders who have been inducted into the Ring of Honor and then also the testimonials provided in the 90-Wide Impact Report.
I won't go on too long here but will simply say, all of these Crusaders are truly special. Those in the Ring of Honor have their names up on that wall for many very good reasons. I think they can be a real inspiration for all of our current Crusaders.
Ring of Honor: goholycross.com/sports/2019/8/30/crusader-football-legends-ring-of-honor
Those who have provided testimonials for the 90W Impact Report are also profiled for so strongly embracing the Mission: a commitment to excellence in winning on and off the field. (Regrettably this file is too big to attach. If anybody would like a copy of it, please send me an email to lwdoyle128@aol.com)
"We take a back seat to nobody . . . "
I think that's what I said or something close to that effect.
Thanks very much.
Let's Win !!

My fellow Americans:
Three days from now, after half a century in the service of our country, I shall lay down the responsibilities of office as, in traditional and solemn ceremony, the authority of the Presidency is vested in my successor.
This evening I come to you with a message of leave-taking and farewell, and to share a few final thoughts with you, my countrymen.
Like every other citizen, I wish the new President, and all who will labor with him, Godspeed. I pray that the coming years will be blessed with peace and prosperity for all.
Our people expect their President and the Congress to find essential agreement on issues of great moment, the wise resolution of which will better shape the future of the Nation.
My own relations with the Congress, which began on a remote and tenuous basis when, long ago, a member of the Senate appointed me to West Point, have since ranged to the intimate during the war and immediate post-war period, and, finally, to the mutually interdependent during these past eight years.
In this final relationship, the Congress and the Administration have, on most vital issues, cooperated well, to serve the national good rather than mere partisanship, and so have assured that the business of the Nation should go forward. So, my official relationship with the Congress ends in a feeling, on my part, of gratitude that we have been able to do so much together.
****** We now stand ten years past the midpoint of a century that has witnessed four major wars among great nations. Three of these involved our own country. Despite these holocausts America is today the strongest, the most influential and most productive nation in the world. Understandably proud of this pre-eminence, we yet realize that America's leadership and prestige depend, not merely upon our unmatched material progress, riches and military strength, but on how we use our power in the interests of world peace and human betterment.
****** Throughout America's adventure in free government, our basic purposes have been to keep the peace; to foster progress in human achievement, and to enhance liberty, dignity and integrity among people and among nations. To strive for less would be unworthy of a free and religious people. Any failure traceable to arrogance, or our lack of comprehension or readiness to sacrifice would inflict upon us grievous hurt both at home and abroad.
Progress toward these noble goals is persistently threatened by the conflict now engulfing the world. It commands our whole attention, absorbs our very beings. We face a hostile ideology-global in scope, atheistic in character, ruthless in purpose, and insidious in method. Unhappily the danger it poses promises to be of indefinite duration. To meet it successfully, there is called for, not so much the emotional and transitory sacrifices of crisis, but rather those which enable us to carry forward steadily, surely, and without complaint the burdens of a prolonged and complex struggle-with liberty at stake. Only thus shall we remain, despite every provocation, on our charted course toward permanent peace and human betterment.
Crises there will continue to be. In meeting them, whether foreign or domestic, great or small, there is a recurring temptation to feel that some spectacular and costly action could become the miraculous solution to all current difficulties. A huge increase in newer elements of our defense; development of unrealistic programs to cure every ill in agriculture; a dramatic expansion in basic and applied research-these and many other possibilities, each possibly promising in itself, may be suggested as the only way to the road we wish to travel.
But each proposal must be weighed in the light of a broader consideration: the need to maintain balance in and among national programs-balance between the private and the public economy, balance between cost and hoped for advantage-balance between the clearly necessary and the comfortably desirable; balance between our essential requirements as a nation and the duties imposed by the nation upon the individual; balance between action of the moment and the national welfare of the future. Good judgment seeks balance and progress; lack of it eventually finds imbalance and frustration.
The record of many decades stands as proof that our people and their government have, in the main, understood these truths and have responded to them well, in the face of stress and threat. But threats, new in kind or degree, constantly arise. I mention two only.
****** A vital element in keeping the peace is our military establishment. Our arms must be mighty, ready for instant action, so that no potential aggressor may be tempted to risk his own destruction.
Our military organization today bears little relation to that known by any of my predecessors in peace time, or indeed by the fighting men of World War II or Korea.
Until the latest of our world conflicts, the United States had no armaments industry. American makers of plowshares could, with time and as required, make swords as well. But now we can no longer risk emergency improvisation of national defense; we have been compelled to create a permanent armaments industry of vast proportions. Added to this, three and a half million men and women are directly engaged in the defense establishment. We annually spend on military security more than the net income of all United State corporations.
This conjunction of an immense military establishment and a large arms industry is new in the American experience. The total influence-economic, political, even spiritual-is felt in every city, every state house, every office of the Federal government. We recognize the imperative need for this development. Yet we must not fail to comprehend its grave implications. Our toil, resources and livelihood are all involved; so is the very structure of our society.
In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.
We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together.
Akin to, and largely responsible for the sweeping changes in our industrial-military posture, has been the technological revolution during recent decades.
In this revolution, research has become central; it also becomes more formalized, complex, and costly. A steadily increasing share is conducted for, by, or at the direction of, the Federal government.
Today, the solitary inventor, tinkering in his shop, has been over shadowed by task forces of scientists in laboratories and testing fields. In the same fashion, the free university, historically the fountainhead of free ideas and scientific discovery, has experienced a revolution in the conduct of research. Partly because of the huge costs involved, a government contract becomes virtually a substitute for intellectual curiosity. For every old blackboard there are now hundreds of new electronic computers.
The prospect of domination of the nation's scholars by Federal employment, project allocations, and the power of money is ever present and is gravely to be regarded.
Yet, in holding scientific research and discovery in respect, as we should, we must also be alert to the equal and opposite danger that public policy could itself become the captive of a scientific-technological elite.
It is the task of statesmanship to mold, to balance, and to integrate these and other forces, new and old, within the principles of our democratic system-ever aiming toward the supreme goals of our free society.
****** Another factor in maintaining balance involves the element of time. As we peer into society's future, we-you and I, and our government-must avoid the impulse to live only for today, plundering, for our own ease and convenience, the precious resources of tomorrow. We cannot mortgage the material assets of our grandchildren without risking the loss also of their political and spiritual heritage. We want democracy to survive for all generations to come, not to become the insolvent phantom of tomorrow.
****** Down the long lane of the history yet to be written America knows that this world of ours, ever growing smaller, must avoid becoming a community of dreadful fear and hate, and be, instead, a proud confederation of mutual trust and respect.
Such a confederation must be one of equals. The weakest must come to the conference table with the same confidence as do we, protected as we are by our moral, economic, and military strength. That table, though scarred by many past frustrations, cannot be abandoned for the certain agony of the battlefield.
Disarmament, with mutual honor and confidence, is a continuing imperative. Together we must learn how to compose difference, not with arms, but with intellect and decent purpose. Because this need is so sharp and apparent I confess that I lay down my official responsibilities in this field with a definite sense of disappointment. As one who has witnessed the horror and the lingering sadness of war-as one who knows that another war could utterly destroy this civilization which has been so slowly and painfully built over thousands of years-I wish I could say tonight that a lasting peace is in sight.
Happily, I can say that war has been avoided. Steady progress toward our ultimate goal has been made. But, so much remains to be done. As a private citizen, I shall never cease to do what little I can to help the world advance along that road.
****** So-in this my last good night to you as your President-I thank you for the many opportunities you have given me for public service in war and peace. I trust that in that service you find somethings worthy; as for the rest of it, I know you will find ways to improve performance in the future.
You and I-my fellow citizens-need to be strong in our faith that all nations, under God, will reach the goal of peace with justice. May we be ever unswerving in devotion to principle, confident but humble with power, diligent in pursuit of the Nation's great goals.
To all the peoples of the world, I once more give expression to America's prayerful and continuing inspiration:
We pray that peoples of all faiths, all races, all nations, may have their great human needs satisfied; that those now denied opportunity shall come to enjoy it to the full; that all who yearn for freedom may experience its spiritual blessings; that those who have freedom will understand, also, its heavy responsibilities; that all who are insensitive to the needs of others will learn charity; that the scourges of poverty, disease and ignorance will be made to disappear from the earth, and that, in the goodness of time, all peoples will come to live together in a peace guaranteed by the binding force of mutual respect and love.
LET'S WIN THE ULTIMATE PEACE !!

Might it be possible that there are forces within these respective nations/lands and others that have no interest -- financial or otherwise -- in peace but much prefer the pro$pect$ of di$cord, divi$ion, and war that Eisenhower warned us of in his Farewell Address on January 17, 1961?
You think? Take a step back or multiple steps and study history.
www.archives.gov/milestone-documents/president-dwight-d-eisenhowers-farewell-address
Think The Establishment which Eisenhower warns of has expanded its scope in terms of the various forms of weaponry used for the stoking of division and ultimate control of the general public here at home and throughout the world?
Come on. Don't take the bait.

TimHC, IMO I believe that the reason stems from a general insecurity that is consistent within those who desire control and then ultimately credit. Rather than thinking about the best interests of the kids, IMO the individuals involved were more concerned with their own standing and position. The individuals announced student development initiatives which I monitored and saw that they faded very quickly. In each situation, the delivered response to launching a 90W program for MBB AND WBB was couched in a rather pathetic fashion that was not inconsistent with this belief. No surprise to me that the individuals moved on in a relatively short order whether of their own doing or others. Again, just my opinion and I respect others who may feel differently but I viewed the individuals involved as possessing a serious lack of real leadership. That fact goes further to those involved in hiring these individuals.
Glad that is all now in the rear view mirror and that ADKH, CDP and CBC as well are all leading these respective efforts and programs and we can move forward with the mission: "a commitment to excellence in helping our Crusaders win on and off the field."

My pleasure HCHoops. Try as we might, we tried to launch a 90W effort for MBB in the past and were blocked each and every time by past ADs -- think what that says -- and selected coaches -- think what that says.
That is now all water under the bridge and we are all systems go.

I was present with our esteemed Crossports legend NAD et al for the second half of Saturday's practice and post-practice lunch to discuss the rollout of a 90-Wide Mentoring effort for MBB. Major props to ADKH for green lighting and promoting the launch of 90-Wide Mentoring programs across all HC Athletics. The Ciocca Center for Business, Ethics and Society has also launched a 90-Wide Mentoring program. Props to Rob Murner for heading that effort under his leadership of that office.
The use of the one name (90-Wide Mentoring) is for purposes of 'branding' the effort and the Mission: 'A commitment to excellence in helping our Crusaders win on and off the field (court, ice, etc).
For those not aware, the name references the 90 original HCFB alums who raised their hands when we launched the mentoring program in fall 2009. The 90-Wide is hence an 'off the field' version of the 5-wide offense that the Crusaders and many other schools run 'on the field.'
Major props to CDP for embracing the 90-Wide and for Ronnie Perry Jr for leading the 90-Wide for MBB. Over the course of the last few months, Ronnie has solicited MBB alumni and has had 30 Crusader alums commit to serving as mentors. Mentoring pairings have already been made and the mentoring magic is already at work. A number of very recognizable names along with RPJ are involved including Joe Carballeira, Michael Vicens, Dave Mulquin, Garry Witts, Ward Fitzpatrick, Eddie Thurman, Lorn Davis, Roger Breslin, Frank Powell, Rick Mashburn, Dr. Jim Nairus, Brian Lockhart, and a whole host of others.
I welcomed joining RPJ and others at this Saturday morning practice and then engaging the team in post-practice lunch upstairs at the Luth to engage in informal mentoring banter and discussion regarding leadership, commitment to excellence, "why not me, why not us?", teamwork, discipline, positive energy and relationships. The visiting recruit and parents clearly appreciated the alumni present and learning about the 90W.
The hour flew by and then the Crusaders headed to Fitton for the football game and the 'excellence' on display v Colgate.
Great to be a Crusader.

Thank you Dr. Dadominate.
I appreciate and respect your insights, level of expertise and respectful thought provoking commentary. The world has been traumatized over these last few years and people deserve honesty and truth. I firmly believe those are your goals and pursuits. Not that others don’t and I respect everybody on this board but I believe you possess and deliver on those goals and pursuits in a truly elevated way.
I appreciate and respect you for doing so.

Dr. Dadominate once again providing highly educated and 'informed' analysis.
As much as many across the entire spectrum might like to paint this topic as an either/or or pro/anti topic, there are far more angles to it. I particularly appreciate increased transparency that exposes the myriad conflicts of interest so we can pursue truth and real public health not the sort that prioritizes the financial and other related interests of selected entities. I might also recommend maintaining a healthy database so we can properly file truths, lies, and assorted other statements and positions.
Never forget, first, last and always, FOLLOW THE MONEY, especially when funds from private sources are directed toward public officials, whether legal or otherwise. Not that public funds directed toward private entities are not also worth serious review.
Thank you once again, Dr. Dadominate.
Navigate accordingly.

The staff continues to do a phenomenal job in recruiting outstanding talent. Jalen Coker has distinguished himself with his ability to elevate and dominate opposing defensive backfields given his size and “ups”.
Looking forward to more of the same with Sir Charles as well.
Additionally, no doubt that Sir Charles will be a first ballot induction into the “All Name Team” as well.

Dadominate: GREAT POST!! What you highlight here is a central element of the Public-Private-Philanthropic 'racket' that lines the pockets of the 'insiders' such as the intelligentsia at institutions such as Stanford (see more at Harvard, Columbia, Yale and many more including the University of Washington (BIG, TY to a non-doctor with the initials BG closely aligned to this institution).
Not often that frauds such as this get exposed.
The same sort of racket is run on Wall Street which primarily uses Columbia, UPenn (Wharton), University of Chicago and a few others as their 'go to' institutions to write 'research' that is nothing more than COVER.
This all encompassing dynamic defined as regulatory capture is absolutely killing our nation and the world at large. I greatly appreciate and hugely respect your providing specific receipts for those who want to learn more. Well done my fellow Crusader. VERY well done.
Transparency remains the GREAT disinfectant and TRUTH remains a virtuous pursuit.
God willing -- and I am confident everybody here would agree -- that more of these frauds get exposed so that our society here in our nation and globally can be restored. These fights and efforts are most worthy.
LET'S WIN!!
