Unlike last year, the reported OOC sked, save for maybe Umass and URI, looks rather unappealing. BUT, given how undersized and inexperienced this team appears, a one year pass on booking any 'name' guarantee games is understandable.
Hope I'm wrong but unless one of the rookies really, really surprises it's gonna be a long year.

I am guessing football and basketball "pay games" would be used to offset the expenses in those respective sports and not diverted to some other sport. Well, that would be a change from the 80's. TV revenue from football was diverted to purchase and install the Taylor & Booty organ.

As always, such nonsense....
Try telling hoops folks at UNLV, San Diego State, New Mexico, Dayton, VCU and most of all Gonzaga that they're so-called mid-major programs....yea sure.

So at least this confirms Nate keeps an eye on the DCU.

Is the astroturf putting green still in Hogan or is that being moved to Luth ?
Whatever happened to the classy Brunswick pool tables in the basement ?

Think I noted HC using a variety of defenses in that tape....5-2-4, 3-4-4, 5-3-3 plus a few corner blitz packages. Also, those kids really flew to the ball - 7 or 8 every time - on pass plays or wide runs.
Talent and coaching back then !
Thanks for posting 87

If Clark is closed, I suspect it is for a major maintenance project or cosmetic upgrades. See the blog post here from a rising sophomore who according to her June 11 post, says she'll be living in Clark next year. egmuss20.me.holycross.edu/At the risk of offending someone, this 'blog' reminds me of the thankfully few 'newsletters' we used to receive along with Christmas cards from friends that felt the need/desire to tell us how successful, how smart, how athletic, how handy their kids were over the past year as well as updates on the Mom's knitting classes going well and Dad taking up Judo or some such drivel.

I don't know why it was failing, but I think the sod was laid down less than a week ago, as I remember seeing it being on loaded on the webcam on Wednesday or Thursday last week, so I think it's a bit early to say it's not doing well. It shouldn't be turning brown...not enough water ?

Relative to this exercise....
Anyone know what caused the new lawn on the Hogan Courtyard to fail ? Couple weeks ago the whole area was torn up and new rolls of grass sod were laid down. From todays live webcam view it appears the new grass isn't doing so well either.

Is Cal committed to a return game in Hamilton? Is this a pay game for 'gate? If the answer to both those questions is "no," it doesn't make a lot of sense despite the thousands (hundreds?) of Raider alums who might watch on the U anyway. That's my initial reaction but then again, I am used to Holy Cross marketing. 😊 1 YES 2 NO
Think both teams will get money from ESPNU ?
Colgate continues to have a very proactive approach in OOC scheduling in football.

Worcester state left the Hart for the new rink. So....not only is this wealthy owner essentially blocking our quest for HE membership, his new rinks are taking business/revenue away from HC via lost rental fees for Hart rink.
Appears HC is taking a pretty good all around arse kicking on this.

Every MLB team passed on the Oregon State pitcher. Prior to his past being revealed he was a lock for 1st possibly early 2nd round.

Yes, a great basketball addition. But it is so different from the other nine PL schools - and spends so much more on sports - that it is not a good fit at all. I never thought I would see BU characterized as a big spender on sports... I guess there is a first time for everything. I never thought I would see BU characterized as a great basketball addition.

Much more God awful case than originally assumed. Reported now that so far 3 MLB teams have removed his name from draft lists.

OMG - What a world we live in believe he pitched the 2nd game vs. yale (11-0 win) hv to believe he won't pitch any longer for osu and his draft status is 'kaput' ! Some questions....
A then 15 year old has to be a registered sex offender ? For life ? He's now a 21 year old Junior. Doesn't his status have to be made known to the students he's been living with on campus ? Is the inference of the article that OSU just found out about this ? Hard to believe that was the case. Then again, maybe the State of Oregon has odd laws/rules on this followed by the state university.
Will ESPN follow-up/report this story during the tv coverage this weekend ?

Somewhat relevant maybe but several years ago saw an on-line article regarding the intense competition for student enrollment foreseen among Bergen Catholic, Don Bosco Prep, St. Josephs Montvale and I think either Paramus ( Paterson ? ) Catholic or DePaul Catholic all in fairly close proximity to each other in northern NJ. I wonder today how each is doing financially and if annual enrollment applications at each is down, up or just steady. HC has historically had some success with students/athletes from Bergen Catholic but don't know if that is still the case of late.
Aside from the above, anyone know how St. Peters Prep ( Jersey City-also some history with HC ), Seton Hall Prep ( Newark Archdiocese ? ) , Christian Brothers Academy ( south NJ ) and Delbarton ( west NJ ) are doing operationally ? AIR, Delbarton is a well-heeled but quite expensive school so they may have a solid wealthy family popularity.

Is this exciting news, or just news? If I should be excited, why? Serious question. Not sarcastic. Now this is sarcastic from me...It will be the first time ever a Pac-12 school will visit Holy Cross in Ice Hockey. I'm wondering if it's a 'first time' in ANYTHING that a PAC-12 school visited HC ?

The Gilmore update posted.... www.goholycross.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=33100&ATCLID=211559230Read this 3 times trying each time to not shake my head. I know I'm biased on his status but keep hoping still that he'll somehow change. This missive is awfully generic, severely lacking in specifics and fails to muster even the slightest bit of positive vibes for the reader. Perhaps a comment or two on who stood out and/or who improved the most maybe ? And howz about the status of our 5th-year QB ? Is/does a post-Spring depth chart exist ? Were there any injuries before, during or after Spring practice ? Boy am I pumped....ZZzzzz
