You are right winning takes care of lots of problems. However, Football is a business, no other program even comes close to the financial commitment that football does. BU dumped their program for that exact reason, it also freed up title IX commitments to other sports. It is something to think about. Most of the other programs at HC have athletes that are paying to play, that math works better. I am worried that they will be in a hole for another 5 years and its just spending more of HC money, I don't think there is a big Radio contract with WEEI to cover the costs of the program.

ADNP, has the right idea. Football is a huge investment and right now it is drowning. This is not a new problem but a solution has got to happen quickly. He is going to have to find a young coach that is going to use HC as a stepping stone, but here for 5 years. My personal opinion is that it's the coaching and recruiting. A good program should make enough money to support other sports at the school, this is becoming a very large financial liability. HC has the facilities now and the education that it should be very attractive with a full scholarship. Hell back in the day (80's) if you got a full boot to HC and you lived in the Northeast it was a no brainer.
I have watched all the games and it is a program issue and it has to be uprooted and replanted. At the end of the day these are young men that need to be lead, that is not happening. I will continue to support this team by watching because as a former collegiate football player that means something, you dont quit as a team member or a fan. The players give up most of their summers to play this game you know they just hate losing. Let's pray that this administration finds a suitable coach that can lead a winning program.

Any thoughts on who will be replacing the graduating class. Most of the offense has to be replaced. I am sure the boys are thrilled with the new facility. New locker room, no more trailer, hope this gives them a sense of pride. What a great way to return to the campus.

No question more money should flow to the LAX program. We play in one of the toughest D-1 leagues and we are making progress. Just by looking at the numbers that have been spent already and the results, its hard to argue. That's a pretty quick turn around. It use to be a private school sport, but if you look at the clubs that have grown and the middle school and high school, huge tournaments in the summer you can see its growth. The sport just announced University of Utah going D-1 for the 2019 season. That's the first Pac-12 school to jump plus it's a public school. I truly think the Football program will have trouble catching up to the D-1 programs that consistently win, even BC programs struggles. We want to be current in LAX and show we will not fall behind as new programs are added. Our spend should me no less than BU and Loyola, 1+ million a year gets us around 8-10 schollies and a lot of time on TV. First MEN'S Pac-12 program...The Pac-12 sponsors women's lacrosse with USC, Colorado being national powers and Stanford, Cal, St. Mary's, Oregon, Stanford, San Diego State having programs.

Loyola just shut down Army's offense again. considering our Defense gave Loyola fits in the first half, we played better in my eyes. Just cant keep that up over a whole game without offensive possessions. Lets see what JL can do with the offense next year and what it will look like. Interesting to listen to the announcers talking about Loyola's sport is lacrosse and what that looks like. Small school, excelling in a sport that is what Maryland is known for. I feel the same about HC. 8-12 scholarships, some good assistant coaches and we should be a premier school for this sport. So we are at 1.2 million annually for this sport. BU built a program in 4 years with this commitment. We already have incredible facilities have to take advantage to that

The scollie amount is up 4 times what it use to be. We might be last in the PL on funding but we have put in 600k per year if not more since 3 years ago. The expectation is the program will put more money in and from the looks of things we have done a good job hitting the marks on playoffs and wins for the last couple of years. BU also does not have a football program anymore. They put their money into Hockey first of course and now Lacrosse. BU figured out that having a Football program was just a waste of money. I agree with that. Football uses a lot of scholarships that could be better used in lacrosse. Like hockey, lacrosse its a northeast, Canandian and midwest sport, we can thrive on that. And as a smaller college, we can be successful for 1 million plus a year. We were on CBS, we can see more time in the years to come on TV and that good bang for your buck.

The sport is definitely creeping to the west. In women's USC and Stanford are in the top 20, USC being #4. Also men's wise you have University of Utah expected to roll into D1 in 2019. The sport has grown in Colorado, Utah and California where high school participation is up but coaching is an issue. Like anything you need to have a good coaching base. If you look at the schools that dominate in the west they are usually private schools that can afford to pay for coaches.

Smaller court so widows are able to get guys with bad wheels to play. Not sure what it says about the US but a brilliant idea. Every time you goggle Pickleball a retirement community in Florida or California pops up. Anyway back to Lacrosse. www.lax.com/stories/lax-video/2017-college-lacrosse-promo/

Title 9 has not help much but Women's lacrosse has grown significantly. Lacrosse and Pickleball are the fastest growing sports. Pickleball is mostly for folks that can't play tennis anymore.

The freshman goalie will have to make an adjustment with shots coming at them about 20mph faster than what they are use to. How did the offense play and do you know the score or there abouts. Funny I thought it was a beautiful day looking at the pictures until I saw the Bryant kids all bundled up. Love that swag. Maybe The Progam they went through has their skin tough.

Well, having a freshman anything is always going to be a challenge at the beginning, however the defense has some experience and that should be helpful. Will see how the offense grooves, that will take time with new faces in old slots. very quite out there.
