FWIW— My view on alum speakers is that if they’ve risen high up in their profession or otherwise have a highly commendable background, HC should always welcome and spotlight them — whether I agree with their views or not. To me, HC is first and foremost an academic institution and should foster open but civil discussion and debate. That said, I do have concerns that some colleges have become overly politicized and dogmatic leaving little to no room for dissenting or skeptical voices to be heard. HC should always strive to avoid that narrow lane, and I hope that is recognized by the school’s leadership.

Nothing about coaching or the program but ... The college's color is Royal Purple. It is unique, distinctive, and is (or should be) part of our brand. I realize in this day and age of uniform contracts, that the uniform companies may push an alternate uniform for their branding. Can we go with a lighter version of the alternate - like gray rather than black - so the purple can be visible in the design? And when we do get a national stage, like the women's NCAA tournament, can we please wear purple to help develop and support the HC brand? I do not expect it to be selected and answered it in the webinar, but he may eventually see it and take some action. Also, for the MD game, were we required to wear "Crusaders" on the front? I've noticed a trend of our teams wearing "Crusaders" instead of "Holy Cross" for away games. Perhaps I'm in the minority here, but I am of the opinion that we should always have "Holy Cross" on the front for away games unless required not to. We should take every opportunity to market and brand the school's name.

Among other things, they spent a lot more time focusing on high school guidance counselors from places we largely ignored or didn’t pay enough attention to under the old regime. This is just a start.

Admissions released decisions early this week. Not surprised by big jump in apps.

My two cents:
"Is there recognition among the school's leadership that a successful basketball program, along with other things, can enhance the school's national branding? Greater national awareness is noted in the strategic plan HC just released."
Thank you.

Riga has been very involved in pushing for a major upgrade to the facility. It’s subpar for the vision he has for the program, including the women’s.

I do believe that if we decide to do little more than cosmetic upgrades to our rink Riga won’t stick around.

Local DC radio talk show host just implored Georgetown to hire Magarity as their next coach. Hope not.

Forget how all this works. Would I be wrong in saying Harvard, under Amaker, switched from a low to a high standard deviation recruiting model?

Had no idea on scholarships or lack of them. Rough to have a sustained competitive program under those circumstances.
