It will be interesting to see how the team plays against Lafayette in less than 48 hours. Massey makes HC a 10 point favorite (68-58) with an 81% chance for the win. We''ll see.

The Pards are 6-17 (2-10 in the PL). They are on a 9 game losing streak since they beat Army. When a young team (they now start 3 frosh - only 1 senior in their top 9) has nothing to lose...watch out.

Eric Stafford has not played in the last four games--don't know if he's injured or just getting pine time

to say the least, it's been a dismal year for 'pards fans. gotta feel for them a bit. football was another disaster, and their basketball teams have combined to lose 31 consecutive games this season (22 for women and 9 for the men). we don't want the distinction of breaking either one of those streaks.

Eric Stafford has not played in the last four games--don't know if he's injured or just getting pine time His last game was against Lehigh - 18 minutes. I also do not know if he may be injured. I listed him "just in case."

Six games left. 4 at home - 2 on the road. The road games are against the teams that will probably finish in the bottom 2. None against the team that has shown itself a cut above the rest. You should expect 6-0. Right now HC is sharing that that middle pack with Loyola, Lehigh, and only 2 behind B.U. If you're really the equal of the other teams in that logjam in the middle, you have to beat those guys in your own house. If you can't defend your home court against those guys, you don't even belong in the middle of the pack
Before someone jumps on me for setting the bar too low with middle of the pack talk, practically speaking it's almost a certainty that this team finishes in the middle 4. With only 6 to play it is almost a mathematical impossibility to win a regular season title. A ton of non HC games would have to fall into place get a top 2. I don't think it's reasonable to set the bar at a point that's outside your control.

I think expecting 6 wins is quite optimistic. KenPom's projections have us winning four games. I'd be overjoyed if we could win five. Odds of winning all six = 20-1.

Will weather cause problems for woo return? No snow anywhere on route until long after they are back.

"Collision involving fatality I believe"
Correct. Head on collision but the Silver Fox driver's kept the bus on the road and prevented loss of life or even injuries to our players and coaches. The men's team only wanted this driver for future trips If I recall correctly

Yeah, Weather Channel seems to indicate team will beat the snow home. Hope the timing holds. If not, no reason to risk anything to get back, classes most likely will be cancelled tomorrow.

I think expecting 6 wins is quite optimistic. KenPom's projections have us winning four games. I'd be overjoyed if we could win five. Odds of winning all six = 20-1. I don't disagree with the logic. If KenPom had HC at a 90 percent chance to win each game, the math says it's still only 50-50 to pull off 6 A million years ago, someone (not me) said the way to be in the hunt for the league, was 1) Hold your home court 2) Beat the cellar dwellers on the road 3) Steal a couple of road games against the middle guys You do that and you'll be in the mix. By luck of the schedule, all that's left are home games and road games vs cellar dwellers. Taken individually, there's not one game left that I would just shrug my shoulders to a loss. Right now we are a middle of the pack team. I know I am repeating myself, but some games (like our last two losses) are the kind where a loss doesn't hurt that bad and a win is a big push forward. Others are games where getting the win isn't a big boost in the standings, but a loss hurts bad. I put each of the last six games in the latter category. This is taking care of business. As a whole, ya 6-0 is asking a lot. 5-1 we let one get away. 4-2 I will be using vocabulary that will get me thrown off this board and other respectable places. When I'm not looking at the whole, but individual games, any loss will leave me grumpy

Tom, it won't be long until you reach my stage where I am grumpy when we lose to Lehigh or Bucknell on their home court. You have heard of "Grumpy Old Men?" 😊

8-19. Bad Start. Everyone missing wide open shots save for AT, who's 1-1. But of course that's the coach's fault for missing them.
