it's tough enough for all 4 teams to balance final exams (hc's start today through next wednesday) and getting ready to play for a league championship. now they might have to deal with weather delays. we're about 48 hours from the games and the lousy cool - rainy conditions linger in the northeast. forecast for worcester is high temps in low 50's and 60% chance of rain - in annapolis, high 50's and 100 % chance of rain

If Bucknell happens to beat Navy and advance, they cannot play weekend of 20th-21st due to graduation, and I was told the Championship Series would likely be held on Mon-Tues the week of 5/22.

I don't know anything about this year's arrangements - but I do know that the situation was the same in 2010. That year they played a Friday evening opener, followed by a Saturday doubleheader. Bucknell's graduation is Sunday morning fwiw, although there are a number of other activities on Saturday.

I guess because of exams neither school could push up the games to today and early tmro. forecast is terrible and maybe only chance would be if they move up tmro's dh to 10 or 11 am start as the heavy rain is supposed to start around 4 pm and persist for about 24 hours. otherwise this might be a monday/tuesday series.

This sort of weather/scheduling issue at the end of the season is one of an AD's worst nightmares.

yes, but I would hope the school can work around that. for example, the women's softball team has been in bethlehem, pa since wednesday afternoon and exams began on thursday. earliest they would return to school would be tonight (1:30 elimination game vs. army today). Also, the Patriot league rowing championship is today (I believe) in New Jersey).

Looks like the first game start time is 11am. Why not just start it even earlier at 8 or 9 am to be on the safe side?

Sweep would be ideal. Having to play a third game at some point Sunday could be rough.

47 degrees at game time (I think it was warmer for the season opener vs. ccsu !) looking at the 'hour by hour' forecast, I doubt there will be a 2nd game today and tmro's weather will be iffy at best.

Still 7-0 Crusaders after 5 full innings. Didn't help that O'Neill ran into a ground ball as he ran from 1st to 2nd. Guess he thought he could hop over it.
