There was no way that a game could have been scheduled for Sunday, as that is Bucknell's graduation day.

HC's pitching looked strong Saturday - in the first game Coach D sent in relievers who were perfect for their roles and the second was just as well coached. HC hit quite well against Bucknell in the earlier series. Both teams, as is common in the Northeast near mid May, are really rounding into form right now.
Should be a great series. Like last year's nailbiter (v Navy) - but hopefully a better ending for the Crusaders.

Is there an obvious reason why no doubleheader on Friday?

Is there an obvious reason why no doubleheader on Friday? What difference does it make?

Well for one, I would make the long drive for a doubleheader, but not for a possible doubleheader

One reason could be the availability of umpires on Friday afternoon.

PP, please dig up your stats on how much PL teams pay for baseball program, please.. Here are expenses for athletic aid (athletic scholarships and need-based aid that is treated differently for athletes than for normal student), coaching salaries, and recruiting expenses for 2015-16. Does not include travel expenses etc. Bucknell University 267,807 College of the Holy Cross 243,552 Lafayette College 488,093 Lehigh University 316,129

One reason could be the availability of umpires on Friday afternoon. Possible but unlikely, since they are able to find plenty of umpires for plenty of midweek games during the season. With the season almost over, there are far less games now than there were in March or April.

With the season almost over, there are far less games now than there were in March or April. Maybe they'd actually like some parents/fans to show up? Not everyone can take a day off Friday to get to the games.

With the season almost over, there are far less games now than there were in March or April. Plus the same umpires that are doing Friday's game will do Saturday. I spoke to one of them after the Navy game and they work the ENTIRE weekend of a regular season series so expect the same in the postseason.

Yes, it's definitely the same crew for the entirety of each postseason series, just as it is for the regular season.

looks like the first official ticket to the national tourney will be punched today. (from our series with them) we know yale is good and today they are in the process of sweeping penn for the ivy crown, winning game one 5-0 and leading game two 11-1 in the fifth inning - games are being played in new haven
