Guessing here, but Jones to WVU. Really? That would be a huge leap for him, I would guess A10/Mountain West at the highest.

Paulsen and Aaron Kelly recruited him when they were at Bucknell. And GMU definitely is in need of more talent. At the moment they have no scholarships available, but a couple of players are expected to transfer - either voluntarily or involuntarily. Jones, btw, is from Virginia.

I'm basing WVU on who broke the transfer news.
By the way, Jones recently followed on Twitter a player on VMI.

If true, it will be interesting to see how AU deals with this.

Two more AU players, Alex Paquin and Andrija Matic, are transferring, per their board; they combined for about 18mpg, 4ppg, 3rpg last season. Of the 12 active players on the 2016-17 roster, there are only five left.

Gasperini and Nelson have only Washington and Cimino who played significant minutes. Certainly not the team that was expected they have 3 LOI and 1 VC for next season--none of them 1s or 2s. 3 of the 4 listed by VC as small forwards. wonder if Brennan will try to get more now ?

Are they tired of the Princeton offense?

NJJ opines on their board that one of the incoming freshmen (Sam Iorio) is projected as a 2, and may help right away. They also have an NAIA transfer (Laurynas Motuzis) who sat out this year, but may compete for time at guard. They have open schollies for 2017 and recently offered SG Skyler Nash, in whom we had some reported interest.

Are they tired of the Princeton offense? More likely they're tired of getting pummeled

There does seem to be rumblings on their board that Delante Jones didn't like/fit the PO. Other than that American plays about 5 players a game, so I'm not really sure how much these losses impact them going forward. Unless Brennan has lost the team, they should be about as good/bad as they were last year with Iorio and Motuzis becoming eligible. Injuries would absolutely cripple them though. Maybe they get lucky with a few borderline scholarship players, they have 4 more spots to fill if they want/are able to.

I believe Delante Jones had the lowest offensive rating (for those who value Ken Pomeroy's work) of any regular player in the Patriot League

I believe Delante Jones had the lowest offensive rating (for those who value Ken Pomeroy's work) of any regular player in the Patriot League He probably was, in 2016 he was a more respectable 94 though. I'm of the mindset that usage is probably more predictive of a player's potential their first year than efficiency is. A good example of this is Andrew Wiggins in the NBA.

Brennan had functionally about 7 play per game, who they were waxed and waned.

Ryan Fazekas of PC is transferring. Should we have saved our scholarship for a player of this calibre?

Fazekas is transferring to be closer to home in Indiana. He isn't that good, and would never consider HC.

Been a difficult last few days, because you never like to see so many guys leave at the same time. But, honestly, the only one of these transfers that will genuinely be hard to replace next year will be Delante. He did want to play in a different system, but I also think he wanted to play at a higher level, and will. Likely A-10. I think Rhode Island, maybe Mason. As for the others, all I can say is we're bringing in two guys who play Rivera's position, and he got beat out this year by Tolksdorf, so the writing was kind of on the wall there. Alex Paquin will graduate this spring and wanted to go back to Canada, where he'll start next year for McGill, with his remaining year of eligibility. And Matic was out of the rotation.
We'll be younger from an experience standpoint, to be sure. That will hurt us, no doubt. But if we get a couple of the guys we're in on, I'm not sure we won't have more actual talent on the roster next season. We have to get them, though.

Thanks, NJJ Do you know if there was any other general problem/issue that prompted all these transfers at the same time ?
