I liked this quote from Caleb..." We’re a really good team, and a lot of people stepped up today. I’m not dwelling on the loss.” GO CROSS GO!

Restless leg syndrome? Cramping and general leg pain. I’ve had it. Can really take it’s toll.

Is Caleb a candidate for a triple double ? Needed 5 more rebounds Sunday Probability ? When, if ever, has it been done by a Crusader ? My money would be on Chris Potter-big scorer and rebounder and I think he led team in assists during a high scoring era

Thought maybe Kevin Hamilton as he could rebound . Best I could find for him - senior year against Navy (17 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists and three steals).

Interesting interview. It has Chris at 6-4 while I think he was listed at 6-8 as a Crusader........

thanks so much for that article, HCN Had the experience of coaching against Chris in HS. I have never seen as fundamentally sound HS player. George B was also amazed. he was the best combo of passing, scoring, rebounding and defending that I have seen at HC in over 55 years. he attended a NYC hoops event when RW was coaching. He is the same thoughtful adult he was as a college and HS student. he loved his career as a teacher-coach, My favorite HC hoops memory is his fave- the game winner vs PC

Is Caleb a candidate for a triple double ? Maybe. When I watched him a couple times last year, he didn't rebound at all - in hindsight, seems like he was following the coach's direction/strategy. He's also a candidate for another Rookie-of-the-Week honor, though Jordan Burns of Colgate had a big game yesterday and may have the edge. Announcement should come later today. Burns gets it

Fair enough. Let's be patient. After all, he has four years and will have (hopefully) many such honors.

I have been following HC hoops for about 55 years and Chris Potter is my all-time favorite Crusader. I'll never forget his 15 assist game against the Iona Gaels and Jeff Ruland. How often have you heard of a 6'8" college forward accumulating 15 assists. As mentioned by someone else, he had the unique ability to be a one man press at the point.

Regarding the Iona game, HC won a high scoring game by about 15-20 points. I think Ruland was either a frosh or sophomore. Mike Palma was on that team and would later become an HC assistant. Their backcourt was very good. I believe they had some combo of guards named Hamilton, Vickers and Burdt or Burtt. The latter may have been on later teams. Iona was just making a name in college hoops. Their coach was the late Jim Valvano and the Hamilton was Kevin Hamilton's father. Raucous crowd in a sold out Hart Cener, every game was sold out until 1981. Potter probably had a triple double if he had his normal scoring/rebounding game.

Pretty sure Ruland was a freshman in '77-'78. He was still a beast as a Freshman, but based on the date, I'd guess it was Ruland's first maybe second college game. I imagine Chris showed him he wasn't at Sachem High School any more!

Just checked 105-83 Hamilton and Vickers in the backcourt, not Steve Burtt or Palma
