Carmody seems less inclined to use CG and PB together last few games. Benzan's minutes dropping again and his production has gone off the cliff - last three games he's just 1-12 from the field.

I've never seen a shooter with such bad form convert so many threes--referring to the Iona guy who throws the ball at the basket sideways

I wish they'd move the 3 point line back 5 feet so Butler would be only player making threes

Did the Warriors put on Iona jerseys and come to Worcester. The Crusaders played good in the second half and I think they are ready for league play. Have to go to Floyd more inside.

Iona had 20 assists on their 27 baskets (74%). Holy Cross has been one of the worst teams in the country the last two years in the defensive version of this stat (347th last year, 300th this season), an indication maybe of how easily teams have been finding the multiple holes in our defense.

Admit, Iona was unconscious at the three-point line tonight but no excuse for a lack of defense. We can’t continue to pack in the zone when a team is continuously have hot shooting nights at the three-point line. There is no way that so many teams are great shooting three point teams against us and we can’t stop anybody. To add insult to injury , When teams miss, we give them more chances. Offense, to slow moving the ball, too much dribbling. Agree with Benzen coming off bench, but no Ziggy, Butler needs to be out there. KC, whether injured or not, just not getting it done!

HC's 3 Point Defense is #229 in D-1 as our opponents are shooting .366 from beyond the arc vs the D-1 average of .351. HC is 3-0 when holding opponents below .300 on threes.

HC's 3 Point Defense is #229 in D-1 as our opponents are shooting .366 from beyond the arc vs the D-1 average of .351. HC is 3-0 when holding opponents below .300 on threes. This is a huge piece in our flawed formula. We can bring in all the 3-point shooters we want, but if we allow opponents to get good (or better) shots with ease (currently 285 in eFG Defense against the 210 ranked OOC in the country), and are also a horrible rebounding team on the rare occasions that they do miss (currently 342nd in defensive rebounding), how high of a percentage will we need to shoot to beat good teams? I don't have that number, but I would guess it's a totally unrealistic number. Defense and rebounding. That's the formula. #HireJaredCurry

We rank in the bottom ten in both offensive and defensive rebounding percentage. Barf.
Not to mention we barely get to the line, and when we do, we are hitting just 64% of our free throws. Barf again.
