Yes-Crusader defense is so much improved in many recent games

I believe the announcers(atrocious) said Bucknell had 1 fg in last 5 mins.of regulation Obviously they had none in OT and that was with CG and JF playing many minutes with 4, and JG also playing a long time until he fouled out at the very end of OT The match up was as effective as I have seen it. Smart rotations and recoveries. Improved defensive rebounding, one of JF’s best

Wish they didn't stop the play on BU's shot clock violation...HC had numbers in the open court and it seems like that was the only way they were going to score down the stretch.

Literally went offline with 2 seconds left! My wife couldn't understand why I was screaming. Back in the Sean Kearney season the final game and final shot cut out like that.

PB lost his dribble as soon as he got the ball..The play never had a chance to develop..We don't know what was suppose to happen... A solid effort from the team, I never expected to hang with the Bison...Not much flow to the game, sooo many ticky-tacky fouls called...Both teams and coaches were frustrated by the calls...JF , except for missing his freebies showed some more development, he is really starting to go to the hoop from the high post, and showed very good quickness doing so...Austin was solid again, he will be a monster sown the road..so will Grandi....
This group is really coming together and are getting better each time out....They are the team nobody wants to play in the tourney!

Bucknell handled HC (with HC at full strength, IIRC) pretty easily in our first meeting. This is now a very different team. The defense by HC for the OT and the last 6 minutes of regulation was some of the best this year. No one on the floor seems to show any fear. They are playing with a confidence that seems to grow with every game.

Any chance HC might get 2 on that all-rookie team?

Make that three very talented seniors. Just being a senior does not, by itself, mean anything.

What was the over/under on blatant factual mis-statements by this horrible broadcasting duo? If it was fifty, the unders got smoked.
Question two: How/why did AB not touch the ball in either of the end-of-time possessions?!?
Despite the FT abomination, this was a very winnable game.
Agreed that Stadium has to go. Everything about their broadcasts is middle school - at best.

Any chance HC might get 2 on that all-rookie team? Before BU's Walter Whyte got hurt, he was pretty much a cinch to make all-rookie along with Petrie, Iorio, and Burns - figured Butler would get the final spot. If Whyte's done for the year, maybe he drops off and it's a scrum for the last spot. Caleb's played more total minutes than any other freshman in the conference, and Grandy's rebounding and defense, in particular, have been impressive down the stretch - both in the mix, I think.

Pat is the best but he needs time to work around. Once he mishandled the ball, he was done.

Disappointing attendance—1818 Did not hear many students Too early ? Student section across from the band was about 50% full or slightly more by midpoint of 1st half. But very quiet. Did the anti-Crusader administration ban taunting opponents or making noise during free throws? The only ones that got loud were the band members themselves. Less people showed up for this than HC-AIC hockey in Springfield -- this is a new era of apathy. Hope some more wins can turn the tide. Hard to not be optimistic about how the team has been playing with nine guys and a lineup full of frosh.

I'm not sure any of you wish to hear my opinion as an outsider, but I was pretty much ready to throw in with the naysayers here, but I admit I'm busy rethinking that position.

Overall, hard not to enjoy how we've been playing minus the performance from the foul line and on jump shots today. Tough scoring when you don't have guys who can break down their man and create their own offensive opportunities aside from Grandison, who was out for OT. We were RIGHT THERE with the Bison on rebounds today.
Very proud of how well the team played down the stretch in regulation -- we had 4 guys with 4 fouls with 8:30 to go in the game, down by 5 points. I think Carm has the team in the right place heading into PL tourney time -- night and day since Navy. Definitely looking forward to seeing these horses run over the next three years!
