Thanks for starting this thread. It is often interesting. Any word of why Moseley left...or on his destination?

I heard a rumor but rumors are not allowed on the Board. Our BU poster probably “knows.”

Fair enough. Thanks.
Perhaps, since he only played in 2 games as a senior, he will graduate and take a year of eligibility to somewhere else to get a graduate degree, rather than taking a red shirt year. Speculation, not a rumor - since I did not hear it anywhere else - just an opinion after looking at his senior season. (Also, if he did not play for other than medical reasons, he could still have a year of eligibility in a league other than the PL.)

Thanks for starting this thread. It is often interesting. Any word of why Moseley left...or on his destination? He has had four years at Boston University. He played in the first two games this season. Is he graduating and planning to use remaining eligibility for a team while in grad school?

Mosely had well-publicized disciplinary and injury problems.

He will have one year of eligibility left, since he presumably qualifies for a medical redshirt based on the injury this past season. He doesn't get back the year he was suspended however.

Ryan Daly, a 6-4 sophomore SG, is transferring out of Delaware - led the team in scoring with 17+. Carmody offered him in April 2016. Played HS ball at Archbishop Carroll in suburban Philadelphia.

I remember reading about Daly. He could be a good fit - IF HC had an opening.
"University of Delaware: NEWARK, Del. – March 26, 2018 - University of Delaware sophomore guard Ryan Daly will transfer out of the Blue Hen men’s basketball program, head coach Martin Ingelsby announced on Friday.
“This has been a very difficult decision for me, but right now after extensive discussion with my family, I believe it is the best thing for me personally. This is not a reflection on the University or the basketball program,” Daly said. “I love Coach Ingelsby, his staff, my teammates and the fans and I thank them for the past two years. However, for my overall happiness, I feel a change of schools is needed. I will miss being here, but will keep rooting for Delaware.”
Daly was named third team All-CAA during both of his seasons in Newark, and was selected the 2017 CAA Rookie of the Year. He led the Blue Hens and ranked 10th in the CAA by averaging 17.5 points per game this season, and was second on the team with a 6.2 rebounding average. Daly scored 1,000 points during his UD career, 34th most in program history.
“Ryan informed us today of his decision to transfer from the University of Delaware and we have granted him his release. As coaches, we care deeply about our student-athletes and always want what’s best for both them and our program. We appreciate Ryan’s contributions and support any decision that he and his family feel is best at this time. We wish him the best of luck,” Ingelsby said."

Last season, Daly started in the 28 games in which he played an average of 37.5 mpg. He a averaged 18 ppg and 6 rpg. He had 67 assists to 37 turnovers, along with 33 steals and 3 blocks. I wonder if Nevada or Loyola, Ill. might be in his future?

loved daly’s game when we offered him and love it even more now. for those that haven’t seen him play, he is not only a great scorer, his physical toughness would rival/perhaps even eclipse austin butler. those two on the court together would be absolutely punishing for opponents.
as goes without saying, i would love to see daly at hc and it will be interesting to see where he ends up.

With those stats wouldn’t he be looking for a stronger conference ?

Do we really want to add a 7th scholarship to that class?

He is a sophomore and the sophomore class does not have 6 scholarships.

He is a sophomore and the sophomore class does not have 6 scholarships. He would have to sit out next year and then would be a junior eligibility wise with the other 6

Would he repeat sophomore year? I thought when they were juniors, he would be a senior. The PL allows redshirts only for medical issues...no?

That could create more problems than it would solve.

You don’t lose a year of eligibility when you transfer, even in the PL. if you play two years at your first school, you still have two years after your sit year.

Fwiw, people on the Manhattan board don't think he has D1 talent. He averaged under 8 mpg, and didn't get off the bench at all down the stretch. Didn't shoot well and didn't rebound well. Of course he may develop over the next few years.

Looking at freshmen leaving (if you were looking for someone to slot into the empty class) - here's a big kid. No idea of his situation, academics, etc. Just saw that Army and Vermont had offered him in hs: www.verbalcommits.com/players/owen-hamilton
