I was looking into tickets for Mohegan Sun Hall of Fame tourney..Friday night tickets are $20 lower sections available, and Saturday night $15, upper level...However,charges there are service charges etc. that total $11 per ticket...Does anybody know if HC will have some tickets? I am thinking of going to Mohegan and buying them their, but have no knowledge if the charges will be applied there...Anybody have any experience with this???

No guarantee but typically you can avoid most or all of the service charges for tickets if you buy them in person at the venue.

Believe 92 is correct from the last time we played at Mohegan, or at least the add on charges was less. My experience with getting tickets from HC is you don't beat any add-on charges but am sure they will have an allotment to sell.
NAD has a much better memory for these kinds of things and can chime in as I recall we were on line for tickets at Mohegan when we first met the Champion family. I don't think we had paid and picking up at will call.

They said tickets have to be bought through mohegan sun. Too bad, a lot more exprnsive.

Apparently not as well organized as last year's Belfast tournament. Too bad.

Still annoyed that the games are not being played solely on Friday and Saturday. Just far enough of a ride to be aggravated to have to do it twice, but my wallet doesn't want to open for paying for a hotel for 2 nights either.

I have attended several athletic events at Mohegan Sun, including the Connecticut Sun and the New England Blackwolves. If you buy tickets at the ticket window of the arena, there are no fees.

Friday night, 2 games...Saturday we got the evening session, 2 games (Mens consolation and UConn women vs Vanderbilt I think)...$15 for up stairs and $20 (I think) for lower level. Plus a $2 facility fee on each...there is a seperate admission for Saturday afternoon..Should HC win on Friday and play Sunday I'll still be there and get seats then.. Hotel rooms in the area seem high that weekend..We found a Comfort Suits in Norwich for $122..Most of the hotels were $160 and up and some were all booked.. Mohegan Sun was out of sight!

Have a players’ card from the Sun. While I don’t consider myself a high roller, I do throw several hundred on a craps table when I play, which is about six times a year. Got an email yesterday offering me two free tickets for every game in the tournament, which I have taken advantage of. BTW, I also visited the new MGM in Springfield a couple times since I was in the area. So far, they have been quite generous with their comps, although their table odds have not been as good as the Indians.

Not a PC guy, but these could be offensive to some The “Indians” have been a term of endearment in Connecticut to those who partake in gambling ever since Gov Weiker signed a sweetheart deal for them in the 90s. The tribes’ members have been made millionaires by the decision, and now Connecticut, deep in debt, is trying to figure a way out of the deal. Ever since gambling on sports games has been given the green light the Supreme Court, it has been argued that the Tribes possess an exclusive on the now legalized sports betting. Day trips to the “Indians” have benefited them a whole lot more than it has the average gambler. The term means no disrespect.

My references were to the sarcastic use of “First Nation” and “scalping” not the term Indian I should have been clearer

The term means no disrespect. don't worry, the term in this instance carries no disrespect other than to those types who are on a perpetual quest to be offended. and in this case as in many others, it's highly unlikely that the tribes themselves would be the ones who are being offended. the sports betting arrangement has certainly worked out very well for their people.
