Great inside pass through traffic by Copeland but Benzan can’t convert the lay up Based on the score and shooting percentage, he isnt alone. CG no assists.

You can't quit what you don't start. Did you see the 1st 10 minutes of this game? One of our players, nameless of course, committed 5 fouls in 3 minute of playing time.

Verbeek wide open for a 3, Benzan instead takes it to the hoop and misses

I didn’t think it was possible after the fine OOC record that we would end up with a sub-.500 récord for the season but with only one game over .500 and the way the team is playing, it looks more than possible but probable that we have yet another losing record.
“Sad. So sad.”😢

According to Dick Lutsk Faw had 5 fouls in 3 minutes. That has got to be a record

Erase it from the chalkboard. Learn from it. Play with passion vs Army.
These boys can play at this level. Need a new system.

PL opponents completely shutting down our offense letting Floyd take his shots and clamping down on others. No way can we compete with Grandison and Green playing as they have in last two games.

So sad.”😢 I hear you. I am done watching for the year. Year after year, no movement forward. On to HC football where I saw our program move forward last year and see hope. I wish the best for the kids on this team for the rest of the season. They deserve better. Something is terribly wrong at HC in terms of a winning spirit and we can’t just keep hiring and firing coaches. I have ZERO answers, but I ask how many coaches will want this job? Is the school really committed to change? We keep talking like we are too good for this conference. We are not. Been decades since Cousy and Heinsohn - and even Perry. The Willard years were a blip in time - I was there when we weren’t good in the 80’s either. I suspect the rest of the Patriot League laughs at us when we say this league holds us back. We are barely consistent enough to be in this league.

I second the notion. I will attend the Bucknell game because they are a quality program and I wish HC would look to them as a measuring stick. I will too be done as I can’t continue to support a program that has no clue what they are doing. Has no AD, no women’s coach and a men’s program in shambles! This is just not D1 basketball. We are play more like D3 than D1 and over the last 10 years we are not good enough to be in top half of the powerhouse conference that is the PL. I too hope for true change, but I am tired of waiting!

That has got to be a record Being courtside 3 were ridiculous calls kennedy should have taken a T on the. 4th just to make a point ref crew looked lost and one ref called a majority of the fouls as a delayedreaction that said they could have called a brilliant game and it would have made no difference

I will make a crazy statement although I believe it to be the case first forget individuals and talent for a moment assume 2019-20 will be the same offensive and defense this will be a better TEAM next year and not by a little defensively we have the best player from last year but prefer to keep him away from the basket so he doesn’t pick up fouls so he is a non factor offensively we do the same thing and they shut it down and when we give it to Floyd they double when he is on the blocks or let him dribble 18-20 feet—our other 4 stop moving and even if we wanted to rebound we are not around-imho this is killing the offensive abilities of Green and Grandison Once we started playing this way in late December we we became a team that can’t get out of its own way Perhaps we should go to a different zone to keep Floyd engaged or as many have suggested play man and take our chances BTW 2 of our subs, Copeland and Hargis, are long and more athletic than most give them credit—they just might deserve more time —both are reasonable options on the back or wings Put AB at the point of the 1-3-1 for the remainder of the season-he has quick hands and toughness that will lead to tips and force the opponent to play faster As I said a bit crazy but something needs to be done to give the team a spark

According to Dick Lutsk Faw had 5 fouls in 3 minutes. That has got to be a record iirc in my era John Budris went into a blowout with 7-8 minutes left and didn't finish due to five fouls. Closest I can come. Believe it or not the opponent was UConn and HC was winning. Different times, Eh? Getting back to the present, Faw must be driving the staff nuts, bad ankle or no bad ankle.

Time for Holy Cross athletics to do some soul searching and admit that their formula for competing in D1 athletics isn’t just poor, it’s pathologically delusional. If it were a person, Holy Cross would need heavy counseling and multiple medications. Watch Tom Gilmore turn around Lehigh football in a single offseason by the way.

I think you are underestimating how far Lehigh has fallen. The game at Fitton this year was startling.

I like and admire TG, but your comment is more than delusional. I am certainly not happy seeing play like HC showed today. However, I am a fan of Holy Cross NOT of HC opponents, so I will be watching as many games as I can.
Those who opted to turn off the game and to leave had another option...watch the women's game. One person said they do not have a coach. Actually they do and last time Ann was the coach she rolled up win after win. I hope that as interim head coach she is as successful.
Also, I don't pay too much attention to negative posts after this sort of awful game, because the passion comes from being a fan of Holy Cross and that is what makes such losses extra painful. As bad as today was for us, imagine how the players feel.
Also, does anyone think that BC's absence today may have played some roll in that first half?

Are you putting any money down on who wins the HC-Lehigh game? One of the players told me the other day that this game will be the new football rivalry due to Lehigh now being led by TG. Should be interesting. At their place, 11/2.
The 56-0 pasting of the Mountain Hawks in Fitton started our current 4 game winning streak.

Sitting close to the team and watching the body language they were frustrated and upset Tough spot for the assistants and think they were more shaken and lost by CBC absence than the players as the added responsibility came late Clearly CBC was where he should be
