That’s my point. It would seem to me the decision to transfer has nothing to do with academics, just basketball. The line for that vacated schollie will go around the block. It could be advantageous if played correctly by the new coach. We’re going to be in rebuilding mode for several seasons anyway so I say whoever wants to walk, let them walk now, or recommit fully to HC. Which Caleb still may do

Amen brother. He appears to be a very bright young man and, as has been suggested, he may just be exploring a Plan B if the new coach is someone he cannot abide.

When I was at HC for my reunion (June 7 - 9), I saw Caleb at the Luth Athletic Complex twice. Who won your game of H-O-R-S-E ?

AT won a PL title. CG did not. But to fair, comapre apples to apples, just compare first 2 years of AT's career stats vs CG. CG also had the benefit of playing a lot more minutes than he should.

I wonder if CG is eyeing Dartmouth as a possible destination. They have a senior point guard and the other PGs on the roster haven't shown anything. A New Hampshire native, Green's 3.7 GPA as an International Studies major wouldn't hurt his chances in the Ivy League. That was my logical thought also. Can't blame him if it is the case. Plenty of graduate school opportunities for free or close to free with IL math during his fifth yr if Ivies allow that.

My gut reaction is that CG is just protecting himself in case the new coach and he don't get along..q head coach is a big reason why a player chooses a school...It is similar to an employee looking into other job options when a new CEO/boss is hired by a company....It is pretty late to look at transferring in my eyes..

Only coaches (I believe one license per school) and compliance departments have access. Any website with a list of names as their own “portal” is unofficial, and a website like 247 does not have anyone diving into whether or not any HC players have entered themselves into the actual portal.

Caleb is gone and is looking at joining Fairfield and their new coach Jay Young. I guess he has former teammates from AAU that he wants to play with.

Have they offered him ? hard to say he is gone with this little info Do you have more ? has he spoken with Nelson ?

Well he couldn't have picked a Wesker program to go to. Even compared to Holy Cross. Maybe promised a free year of grad school?

I made a joke to the person who told me that college is getting like the nba if people want to play with their buddies.

Another possible connection with Fairfield is that their new coach, Jay Young, was previously at Rutgers where he coached Caleb’s teammate, Geo Baker.

Unless there is a late signing I don't have to worry about one of my pet peeves...playing two short guards at the same time. Not exactly the way I would have had that happen.

You never want to lose quality( as a person or a player) from the team—My guess Caleb is both.
With that said Nelson has some recruiting challenges ahead, and he doesn’t need to spend time re-recruiting the current roster after his initial conversation with each player.
All who want to commit need to line up, lace up and go out and win games- think of it as a remake of Hoosiers

Yes and he is a point guard who would have to sit out a year and then compete with fellow Michigander, cousin Drew Lowder
