They were 3 lousy games from a home seed in the PL tournament. They beat the number 2 and number 3 seeds, and had a 5 point lead with 3 minutes to go against the league champ. I know they lost a great player, but I don't think they are in as deep a hole as many of you make it out to be. I'm ready to start making a move now. I hope the staff takes the same approach.

We don't know what he will run as a head coach, but I would love to see him bring the philosophy he was coaching in the video..Push the ball, score in transition, and the sets they worked on..Lots of screens and pin downs (getting mismatches in the post). I believe this would be a very good fit for the players HC has...His focus on D was M2M...I smiled when I heard him yell "sprint", so many coaches yell "run"..Sprinting is faster than running in an athletes mind! I like what I see....and I hope he allows us fans to get and see practice!!

Not sure how gutsy of a move this is by Nelson, 12 years as an assistant with no prior head coaching offers I'd think you better strike while the irons hot. Agree. Just as "gutsy" a move for Marcus Blossom. The risk is going from 16-17 to 10-23 or something, but worth it. It is probably not likely Nelson would have his first head coaching job at a power conference school, so I think this is a good opportunity for him.

Thought I would pass on some wisdom that made sense 50 years ago when Jack Donahue said but may not be as relevant today, He made the point that any new coach had an inherent advantage because opposing coaches did not have game film to figure out and prepare for his/her propensities.
Nowadays I believe there is video available for almost anything. As for Brett Nelson, he hasn’t been a head coach but guessing opposing coaches will still be able to “read” him, especially our PL opposing coaches who will have all the OOC games available to them.
