I always liked that little Jesuit school in Syracuse!

IIRC Syracuse started like 20-0 that year after the exhibition loss. I think that was the year of the 6OT game vs UCONN.
Anyway, I think I've hijacked this thread enough. Glad we beat Assumption and the frosh got sone valuable minutes. On to College Park and the official start of the Nelson era.

They actually got to 13-0, 24-1, and 28-2 during that season - which was the 2009-10 season. But Syracuse ruined it with an atrocious finish. First, they lost their last regular season game to a Louisville team that ended with 13 losses. Then as the Big East one seed, they lost their first BE tournament game to #8 Georgetown. Then to cap it off, as a one seed in the Big Dance, they lost to #12 Butler in their third game to end the season. The 6 OT games vs UConn actually was the previous year, i.e. 2008-09.

So, you’re saying it wasn’t a big deal that LeMoyne won that exhibition game?😂

Just saw that although Matt .F played only 11 minutes(and shot poorly), he got 9 rebounds, tied for second.high. With Joe P. Matt committed only one foul

Most in the first half when Niego was in foul trouble. Poor shooting looked worse in person than box score. I don't recall anything outside the 2 foot range. All shots that I recall were on drives to the hoop. Both Niego and Verbeek did some post ups. I don't recall Faw doing any. He did seem focused on rebounding, as might be suggested by that many rebounds in limited minutes
