If Colgate and Bucknell hold on to win today, I will be heartbroken. Typically....going to happen....Colgate won and Bucky up 20-3.... Only Holy Cross

The announcers repeatedly said that the PL video system was not working properly, and said it has not been working at other PL stadiums all year. It may be that some of the cameras work some of the time, but none work all of the time.

Lafayette does it to us again. Beats us by 3. How can you win with 5 turnovers. Jon Jon Roberts momentum killer fumble. This one hurt to watch in person. Hurt more than Yale and Harvard. 5-5 (3-1) Come on Lafayette, get off this streak and lose both games coming in.

Colgate has beaten Fordham; both teams now have 3 PL losses. Georgetown also has 3 PL losses.
Bucknell leads Lehigh, 20-10, with 7 minutes to go. Lehigh's QB has been injured and the backup is playing; Lehigh has just scored and will kick off to Bucknell.. If Bucknell wins, both of those teams will have 2 PL losses.
Lafayette and Holy Cross have 1 PL loss. Lafayette still has to play Colgate and Lehigh. Holy Cross still has to play Fordham and Georgetown.

This post will be received with mixed emotions but the HC women are leading Illinois by 9 at halftime.

I opined that after how thoroughly average the offense was last season (and that was with a better quarterback than Degenhardt with Geoff Wade), Chesney would almost assuredly make a chance to the OC in the offseason.
He did not. We are the same thoroughly average to, as we saw today, below average offense.
Will Chesney realize the offense is stuck in neutral and change his philosophy and Murphy as OC?
If Murphy was a great offensive mind, don't think he'd have been stuck as the head coach at St. Anslem's and the run game coordinator at Tufts. Maybe Chesney just wants a guy who will get on board with the direction in which he wants the offense to go -- a yes man?

I came here not to defend Murphy my fellow Romans, but we largely lost that game at the line of scrimmage on both sides.

If Colgate and Bucknell hold on to win today, I will be heartbroken. Colgate did beat Fordham (24-13). Bucknell beat Lehigh (20-10)

Here's a great HC question. Why wasn't Jon Jon Roberts replaced a month ago? How many times does the same thing have to occur for you to change it?
If you look at return numbers, mental errors, turnovers, etc....it's an easy decision. To be honest, you can't even debate it.

Given what was at stake - and considering the other PL games today broke HC's way - this is the most bitter defeat for Crusader football since the '08 game at Colgate.

Only watched the 2nd half - inexcusable performance and I blame Chesney and the staff as well as the players of course - coach C has to assume some responsibility to develop more turnover discipline

If we beat Fordham and Georgetown and Lehigh beats Lafayette, how many of you will be jumping back on the bandwagon? Just asking.

Next gutwrencher will be Laf will lose, we’ll beat Fordham in NYC, then loose to Georgetown at home. I predicted this general scenario months ago, hence why I really wanted us to seal things up this week. Chips might still fall our way although this is unlikely to be the year we go deep into the playoffs.

I support HCFB win or lose. However, I have been consistent in my disdain for OC since last year. I can say with total confidence that we will not get to the next level as a program with him helming the offense. I actually like Chesney and I think he will elevate the program, but he is failing in recognizing that Murphy is hurting him, this team and the program. Murphy flat out sucks and needs to go. We will not beat Fordham or GTown if he continues to call games this way.

Negatives... Obviously Five Turnovers QB play...no consistency Out of the Gate play...came out flat on defense and showed some lack of discipline early at times. First time they actually looked unprepared. Officiating...I don't know what that crew was doing (however impact on the game result)
Positives... The defense...after rocky start settled down and played well. Kicking...punting and Ng on Field Goals
Look this team has exceeded expectations for this year. They are tied for 1st in the league with two to play. A good spot. PL is like a slot machine every weekend in that you never know what you're going to get from each team each game. I'd like to see the record for teams that lose the turnover battle 5-0...I bet it's like 0 and something.
On a side note very impressed with Lafayette QB. Looked poised and played well.

The HC website story on the game has a rinky-dink box score that doesn’t have a lot of details. Does anyone know the (obviously cringe-worthy) Points-off-Turnovers number?

If you're upset that there hasn't been a QB change I'm with you but the staff is working with an average at best QB. Degenhardt is who he is. When the running game is stalled he more than likely is unable to win the game for you.

There was two years of crossover when he was at St. Anslem's and Chesney at Assumption, so they certainly knew each other during those years. I really just don't understand the reason behind having Murphy run the offense when this is the product that is produced. I'm sure HC has tight budgets for assistant coaches and, given Murphy's coaching pedigree, HC is probably able to to get him on the cheap...but we can do better than this/him.
