Announcers have it right, he plays a lot bigger than his 182 +/- pounds. He has really added a lot of muscle over the years and at 5'9" he is short enough to have a low center of gravity and can hide behind the line. He has really turned into an excellent runner.

Just woke up. Who are we firing? The OC? Do we have enough LBs? Did our head coach were his sunglasses today? Murphy, the OC, should absolutely not be calling plays next season. Most people would agree with this.

You've outdone yourself with this one. Can you not just celebrate a nice come-from-behind win regardless of who the opponent is? Is any of this information not true? -Fordham is 3-8 -Lafayette is 3-8 -Holy Cross lost to Lafayette at home last week -Holy Cross was completely unprepared today (0 points in the first half) Just like I didn’t celebrate wins when Carmody was burying the hoops program, I have trouble celebrating football wins when such a significant part of the program (the offense) is very sub-par. I enjoy watching the defense and I enjoy watching Cozier, Ayeni, Asante, etc. with the ball in their hands, but watching Murphy/Chesney’s offensive operation makes me want to pull my eyes out.

Wax melted. Icarus has fallen into the Sea of Icaria, Tears for a lost season of such high hopes. Inconsolable in my sufferimg and pain. Because, you understand, I LoveHC A good nap and you are right back in the saddle for midweek M&W BB games and then the Georgetown brawl for it all: PLC, Auto-bid to FCS Playoffs, and the (mythical) Provincial's Cup. Stay rested and stay hydrated.☺️

Thank you for keeping us grounded, bring back.
Murphy is better suited in the NESCAC / NE10.

Thoughts on the Considine substitution? I'm guessing they thought he could throw into the wind bettah? It didn't blow up on us but I'm still uncertain about that move. Giving Considine a few series during this game was planned before the game. Had nothing to do with Degenhardt’s performance today. Considine has been improving in practice and they wanted to get him some game action. Not a big fan of playing multiple quarterbacks generally but it worked out today.

Geez. Some people here can't appreciate this for what it is, year 2 of a complete rebuilding effort. Starting from rock bottom we're 1 win away from PL championship. I don't care how bad the PL is this year. This is just what the doctor ordered. A team has to learn what it takes to win and there have certainly been alot of lessons this season. A taste of success next week will only make everyone involved hungrier and more determined not to fail. GO CROSS GO!

We’re 8-3 in PL games under Chesney. About to win our first PL title in a decade and second since 1991. And people are still negative. Dear God. Enjoy it, people.

efg72...For those reasons it may be interesting to see what comes from the competition that will take place between our last game this season and to then see who starts in the first game next year.

I enjoy watching the defense and I enjoying watching Cozier, Ayeni, Asante, etc. with the ball in their hands, but watching Murphy/Chesney’s offensive operation makes me want to pull my eyes out. It's been stated by other posters (bfoley), that the current offensive scheme is EXACTLY what Chesney had at Assumption. -RPO -Shotgun Handoffs, (IZ, OZ, Dive) -Multiple, Average to Slightly Above Average QB's in Rotation -Rely on defense and field position to win games If we are going to build a program around this philosophy, I believe we will always be sub par in the grand scheme of the FCS. Kudos to the team for the win, but could you imagine if they played the 2009 Holy Cross Football Team with this first half effort? It be 35-0 heading in for the break. I think we are a better defensive football team than in past years (kudos to Scott James), but we have regressed offensively and on special teams (Chesney and Co). Why did we wait until the second half to get Cozier the ball? I may be too critical, but we are not preparing for the first half of football games like a successful team should (players and coaches).

Just got back from the game. Great Holy Cross Crowd that came alive in the second half. Great win and the third year of winning the Ram Crusader Cup. Dropping the second half kickoff was brutal, but what a break with the whistle. Special teams needs to improve. Tried different guys back to receive today. Also interesting to see the two qbs play. But great win now you control your own destiny. If you don’t beat the Hoyas and lose your last two home games you don’t deserve the title. Let’s beat the Hoyas 6-5 Go Cross Go
At the Fordham fans who’s cheering now?

hoops - That would certainly be a good start. Interesting to hear the coach say that, despite good halves, HC had yet to play a "full game." He hopes to see that "full" good game next week.(slightly paraphrased by me)
