Is it necessary to post the same link three times in two different threads? Why not? It makes the argument on both threads. Maybe someone only reads this thread I thought they would like the expert’s(CDC) opinion on the opening of schools as it seems that once again the Ivies are leading the way. They took a lot of ridicule when they cancelled their basketball tournament but proved to be ahead of the curve and correct on that issue. No one has to read the article if they don’t want to but it ties directly into the conversation.

After everything that has happened with the management of this virus, you would still rely on the CDC's opinion? haha. Well, with that logic say goodbye to sports for years to come.

Of course why would I listen to the medical experts? How foolish of me. I should just go out without a mask and figure it’s going to just magically disappear. 😳😷🤦🏼♂️

unh, What is your fascination with magic related to this disease? No one but you sees any sort of magical connection here. To which medical experts do you listen? From what you say all of yours have an overwhelming agreement, yet medical experts have different opinions regarding this virus and how it will run its course (as I am sure you are aware but never seem to mention).
Why? Since you ask...I would say to listen to medical experts when it comes to medicine. After all, they probably know more than most on Crossports in that regard.

UNH Fan and 4Crusader3,
To use a phrase HC92 used earlier this year, you are getting on my last COVID-19 frayed nerve. In case I was too subtle, you are the people my diatribe this morning was aimed at. Others seem to have gotten the message. You 2 seem not to have. KNOCK IT OFF.
Let me be clear for you and everyone else reading ... posting the same information on multiple threads, posting links which clearly support what we all know you think should and should not be done are off limits ... for everyone. You will not convince anyone to change their mind any more than those who think otherwise will post anything that changes yours.
This in NOT a COVID-19 policy forum.
This is a Holy Cross Athletics message board first, a Holy Cross message board second, and a general sports message board third.
I welcome your voices here.
UNHFan - Having a different point-of-view when it comes HC athletics is refreshing. 4Crusader3 - Having the perspective of a former HC athlete in enlightening.
The back and forth on a topic that where information is changing every day and worse, the name calling and now trolling of others is not.
STOP. NOW. Or I'll stop it for you on my own.

The Dean’s missive above reminds me of a classic Dean Wormer comment to Otter:
“Put a sock in it, boy, or else you’ll be outta here like sh*t through a goose.”

The Dean’s missive above reminds me of a classic Dean Wormer comment to Otter: “Put a sock in it, boy, or else you’ll be outta here like sh*t through a goose.” Here's the full exchange Dean Vernon Wormer: Well, well, well. Looks like somebody forgot there's a rule against alcoholic beverages in fraternities on probation! Otter: What a tool. Dean Vernon Wormer: I didn't get that, son, what was that? Otter: Uh, I said, "What a shame that a few bad apples have to spoil a good time for everyone by breaking the rules." Dean Vernon Wormer: Put a sock in it, boy, or else you'll be outta here like #@*&$~! through a goose. -- Dean Vernon Wormer

Of course, one of the best uses of that metaphor came in real life in General Patton's famous pre D-Day speech:
"I don't want to get any messages saying, "I am holding my position." We are not holding a Goddamned thing. Let the Germans do that. We are advancing constantly and we are not interested in holding onto anything, except the enemy's balls. We are going to twist his balls and kick the living #@*&$~! out of him all of the time. Our basic plan of operation is to advance and to keep on advancing regardless of whether we have to go over, under, or through the enemy. We are going to go through him like crap through a goose; like #@*&$~! through a tin horn!"

2nd team all-Ivy RB Devin Darrington from Harvard entered the transfer portal today - he is the 8th Ivy player to enter the portal after the league announced no football this fall. He has two years of eligibility left. Are there any PL players looking to transfer ?
