I don't favor turf for college soccer but HC might have to bite the bullet and "turf" Smith if it advances the lacrosse program. Soccer on turf is absolutely awful. Hard pass. Im sure plenty of schools play lax and soccer in the same grass field. Remember its opposite seasons. Back when I was in school the lax program was still playing on the old school AstroTurf inside the track. My senior year is when the new lax/practice football field were finished.

The link I attached is the 2021 class, i.e. arriving in late august - I know for sure because the Gavin Bailey commit is my wife’s cousin’s son who is taking a pg year now at Culver academy I’m watching the 2021 Geico High School National Lacrosse Tournament between Taft and Culver. The tournament is being held this weekend at Catholic University in DC. I saw Gavin on the sidelines, waiting to see if he will enter the game. He is #32.

Thought they had grass now, could definitely be wrong. I know as of 2009 their "stadium" still had the football hashes on it and was definitely turf. I thought they replaced it with grass but maybe they just got new turf...

A few years back, HC bought this house on Epworth. goo.gl/maps/Ms7T8PA3fywBEv9y6It even has the standard HC street number motif. After months of rumination, I concluded HC bought the house because it can run sewer and water lines up to Fr. K field using this property. That's an HC truck barely visible at image right, near the utility pole. When they rebuild Fr., K. field, they need to push it to the east to allow for stands on the west side.

The reasonable options are upgrade Father K or put turf on Smith (no flood plain talk, please, Fitton's out). Playing any sport outside on grass in February or most of March is not feasible.

Virginia beat Maryland 17-16 to win the trophy.
BC women outgunned Syracuse to claim their first NCAA title in women's lacrosse. This may be BC's first national title in a sport other than ice hockey. Twelve ladies on the BC roster from MA, including the daughter of Matt Hasselbeck. The BC star is Charlotte North from Episcopal in Dallas. While we talk about the impact of transfers in football, Ms. North is a transfer from Duke, where she played her first two collegiate seasons, finished her sophomore season third in the country in goals per game (4.32) and led the team with 82 goals. This season she broke the NCAA record for most goals in a season. ____________
The Eagles will have to wait, however, until 2021. Due to the ACC’s intra-conference transfer rules that require a student-athlete to be enrolled in the new school for two full semesters before competing with his or her new team, North will not be eligible next season, a BC athletics spokesperson confirmed Tuesday evening.
North is listed as a senior on the roster, don't know whether she has another year of eligibility.

Sounds like Coach Farley is out as the O Coordinator for the Mens team. Would be great to see Coach Reppert bring in one of his former Maryland O guys to revamp the offense. On the recruiting front this summer would love to see some commits with bigger frames, seems like stature wise we had one of the smaller teams in the PL. Certainly doesn't bode well going against Army and Navy.

Impressive indeed. Is this the same gentlemen who offered to host an Ivy lax tournament in a bubble earlier this year?

Impressive Let’s see his it affects recruiting and on field results The last two years they played, the men's team at Yale was national champ and then national champ runner-up. So it'll be tough to improve on that. But the women's team could use a boost.

So it'll be tough to improve on that. But the women's team could use a boost. And three years ago, they won the Ivy League tourney before bowing out 11-10 to Syracuse in the first round. They pretty much have dominated the Ivy League since 2015.
