If he is listed, then he must have sent in his LOI. Looks like we are done for today.

If you want to know just how good Avery is, just talk with the Bergen Catholic QB and RBs. They saw him as a real threat - one of the best they faced all year! Their coaches would agree. HC got a really good recruit here!

Hoops wise, St.Peter’s Prep is also the home of George Blaney, the Hochsteins, Keith and Greg, Joe Kelly, Fr. Markey and more

I love that Crusader mask...could the rest of the outfit far behind and eventually to be seen again on the sidelines?

Breezy, MW, DHarry, 44 thank you for making signing day so enjoyable
Great days ahead and increased funding to momentum
Now I want us to do the same this calendar year for hoops and then by 2025 do the same for ALL HC Athletic Programs- the legacy matters

Thanks for the kind words. It’s fun to watch it all come together the way it is.

Thank you efg72. I appreciate your compliment. I’ll just you this, recruiting talent is never over with Coach Chesney and his staff. Stay tune for more surprises. Their goal is way past the Patriot League. National Championship is the goal on the hill.

The group I came in with in the fall of 68 put two players in the NFL-Eddie Jenkins and Billy Adams. I think both Jaffe Dickerson and Teddy Wells( my pre-season roommate) had a shot but stopped playing, and then there was Danny Harper who I thought was the best on our team. Crucius, Spenser and KOT might have other thoughts?

I’m old enough to remember how exciting it was that a star RB from Malden Catholic was going to HC In its hayday Malden Catholic has a pretty dominant football program. Brown football head coach James Perry was a standout Malden Catholic alum who went on to break just about every Ivy League QB record while at Brown. I also think one of the players on the current roster (Rivers) attended Malden Catholic for a portion of high school.

I replaced Joe Wilson. Played with Steve Buchanan, Tyree Blocker, Johnny Provost, Mark Sheridan and Peter Vaas. Lots of fun. Good friends to this day.

Their goal is way past the Patriot League. National Championship is the goal on the hill. Much appreciated efg! I second 44's comment here. As far as what is relatively public, here's what we know. There's at least 1 roster spot left and scholly money. We only know of one transfer from last season's squad (Marco has enrolled at Tarleton and was featured on their signing day write-up) However, I'm sure all of you can recall an underclassman or two that did not show up on campus after Winter break to the surprise of some teammates and even coaches. I know of no such player as of now...just saying I wouldn't be surprised if we have more than 1 roster spot available for the 2022 season. If we did in fact only lose Marco, what a testament to the culture of this program during the current transfer portal and Covid waiver era. I would be willing to place good money that's near or the outright highest retention rate of all D-1 football programs. As for that last spot, I think several of us have our eyes on 3 players (both portal and HS). Like 44 said, stay tuned for perhaps one or two more surprises!

This appears to be a new offer made late yesterday to a DB from New Orleans. There is some indication this was his first contact from Holy Cross.
He almost simultaneously tweeted about getting an offer from Jacksonville State.

I believe Ayir has the fastest documented 40 time on the current roster at a tick under 4.4 with Purdy as #2. This is a new name and was not on my radar, I'm not sure the extent of the offer but I would think that if we sign one more defensive player it would likely be a Safety or Linebacker (two positions where we need more underclassman depth.) I think we got our full scholly CB in this class with Avery.
