Wow. That is one terrible piece of writing. I’ve got $5 that says it was written by the camera guy. The writer has a BA in Spelling and a Masters in Punctuation from BC. Cut him some slack.

You have to love Jacob Dobbs.

Dobbs is ridiculous. He’s a pleasure to watch compete each Saturday.

Let’s hope he stays at least one more year.

Taking you all down memory lane, with J. Dobbs, does anyone still remember that we thought that Nick McBeath ("McBeast") was the best linebacker we have had in decades?
Haven't looked at stats (I leave that to KY and Phreek) but pretty sure that Dobbs already has McBeath beat if not in total numbers but certainly on a per game basis.
Wasn't there a school that was nicknamed "Linebacker U?" Thinking that was Penn State under Paterno.

I would think Jake will want to get his degree from HC and will not transfer after 3 seasons (without some earth shattering change at HC.) I believe he really loves the school. I think he plays his final year at HC and then will have a decision to make (depending upon how much he wants to play on Sunday’s) He could either enter the transfer portal to up his name ID and level of competition (he could very well get offers from some Big Ten schools like Illinois, Northwestern (Pat Fitzgerald loves guys like him) or even Indiana. He could also follow Joe Lang’s path (FSU) and take an invited walk-on to Michigan to fulfill his life long dream to play in the Big House. Prayers he stays healthy this year and next.
Or,..does he have such a big year this year and next at HC (first team All America type years) where he doesn’t need that grad transfer year as a few NFL teams say they have seen enough to offer him a contract in 2023? I’m sure he’ll be watching what Greenhagen at Fordham does as he’s a Senior and likely to shatter awards and records this season. Ryan will be in the same boat after this season…come out now or go play a year in a Power 5 FBS conference?

As a team captain his sophomore and junior years, I'm also guessing he's got strong loyalties to both the team and the College and won't be going anywhere until he gets his Holy Cross degree.

I hate looking too far into the future and not relishing the present but here’s a thought…if what we did schematically at Yale is any indication of a more permanent change in having 3 LB’s on the field at one time…Could you imagine a 2022 season with Dobbs as a Senior, Anderson as a 5th year (which I would think is possible since this is really his first full season as a starter and OLB type playmaker) and Bolden after another year of development with Grauski and Coaches?! Might even get a few stops against BC with those 3 as your Linebacker corps

I have always thought Dobbs would graduate from HC and then do a grad year at Michigan. I still believe that will happen.

IMO, his height will hold him back at the next level - he's listed as 6' on the roster - I think that might be a stretch - with his athletic ability he's in the perfect place dominating the fcs level - Power 5 lb's are rarely his height.

OK, he is a "rare" talent...and that can be worth a lot to some!

He would more likely be a strong safety at the power 5 level, if he makes it.
